With Paramount announcing it wants to lean heavily into franchises, I would really really like to see a Star Trek show with from this era. I know Kelsey Grammar is occupied with his Frazier reboot, but maybe Alan Ruck is free?

A cameo from Christopher McDonald would also be nice, but it would have to be retconned.

Something about Christopher McDonald rubs me the wrong way. He seems so… phony.

I’d be down with Ruck, though. He seems precisely the amount of stuffy to be in one of those late-23rd to early-24th century Starfleet uniforms.
