Welcome to Patriots for Progress. Round these parts, we roleplay as American conservatives and use all the reactionary buzzwords while continuing to produce leftist and communist propaganda.

Rule 1: No special snowflake white supremacist nonsense, or any other kind of bigotry

Rule 2: No big city econ major capitalism talk. And no centrism either, the LORD gave us the second amendment for a reason

Rule 3: AMERICAN PATRIOTS ONLY πŸ¦…πŸ¦…πŸ¦…!!! This is America, so you'd best speak English, Navajo, Cherokee, or some other American language!

It's probably not a bad translation, when they invented the story of Jesus birth they wanted it to fit prophesy and cultural expectation - this is also why his mom was free from the original sin everyone else has, John the Baptist likewise but the church doesn't fully go in on that one.

Regardless of Jesus being a real person or not his childhood is very clearly invented to fit the story, and its a magical story so its to be expected that it starts with magic.

It of course causes endless problems theologically if you take any of it seriously, Mary being free of original sin since her conception means that God had her marked out as the mother of Jesus from birth which kinda ruins free-will but also the very point of Jesus is that original sin can't be removed without the most precious sacrifice- the son of god... but Mary and depending on your opinion John had it removed at birth without any sacrifice - so based on the two facts that God knew Mary would be Jesus mom from birth therefore also that Jesus would die on the cross then the entire thing is meaningless theater - he holds the power to remove original sin at will and the little drama couldn't have gone any other way.

This sort of convoluted logic has bothered theologians for millenia, it's the problem when a story created to convince illiterate fanatics that your version of the current meme religion is the one to give money to turns into the cornerstone of society and the base upon which everything stands for a third of the world.
