So I remember this old animation video I saw maybe early 2000s? About a couple of musicians, I think a guy and a girl, and they're chasing some sort...of music sphere? That gives them the inspiration to their music? Something like that...And as they follow hints to find it, they go traveling thorough rural america. I remember at some point they go on a cargo train wagon. I don't think it helps with timeframe reference, but I watched this video on some CD included on a magazine, and it was next to On Your Mark, which is widely more famous.

Every few years I try to track something down that I half remember seeing on TV in the 1990s, but I have so far had no luck finding it as I don't have much to go on. I think it was a UK made for TV production, either an episode of a TV show, or maybe a one off TV movie.

The scene I remember features the lead character in an office with his boss. The tone is generally surreal and dreamlike. The office is white and there is a big window. As part of the scene his boss tells him about the famous Chinese story of Zhuang Zhou's Butterfly Dream:

"Once, Zhuang Zhou dreamed he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and fluttering about, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn't know that he was Zhuang Zhou.

Suddenly he woke up and there he was, solid and unmistakable Zhuang Zhou. But he didn't know if he was Zhuang Zhou who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming that he was Zhuang Zhou."

I can't remember if this is all in one scene, or maybe two scenes spread across the story. Either at the end of the scene, or towards the end of the story the main character finds a matchbox on his bosses desk with a fluttering sound coming from it. His boss is nowhere to be seen. He picks up the box, listens to it, and then opens it. A butterfly flies out of the box and out the window.

This has been driving me nuts for years. Was it a weird film/TV show? A comedy sketch? An illustrative part of a documentary? An advert?

If anyone has any ideas or pointers, please let me know.

I have this image in my head I can’t quite pull what musical it is from. It’s a 1950-60s western, in color, a woman is walking around a ranch singing about how everything would be different and everyone would treat her differently if she were a man. She was just talked over by her dad or older brother. May not have been a western, but I distinctly remember her on or near a fence post during the number. I do not remember any particular face or name attached to this film. Anyone have any ideas of what movie this was?

I am looking for the author of the quote in title. The phrasing might not be exactly as quoted, but the idea behind it is that the right wing politics are usually aiming to go back to certain period in time which they consider to be the ideal one. Like if to get better as a society we need to undo the changes that led us here and go back to this previous ideal society. Whereas the left thinks that the ideal society has never really been implemented yet, so we need more changes in order to get there. I've heard during college, but the teacher is sadly retired due to health issues.

Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to find a show I streamed a while ago. Here's what I remember:

  • It was a British show
  • Two guys were roommates; I think the apartment was messy
  • They had a woman friend
  • One of the roommates and the friend were in love but they kept having bad timing
  • I think the other friend was a manager at a company?
  • I think the woman had to move in with them at some point?
  • There was a guy named Jono (sp?) who kept saying, "I'm Jono"

I remember watching an episodic web series many many moons ago that used a highly stylized, I want to say almost cell shaded, computer animated video about a guy trying to travel across the country after some kind of event.

Each episode was done in a new location that tracked the travel across the USA and you picked your episodes by choosing a location off the map on the site.

It had a dozen or so episodes by the time I stopped watching for unremembered reasons.

I remember the skit of him, just typing grievances emails. Just saying at the lots of love, but showing the email, with LOL at the end.

I thought it was the Ace Ventura 2 torture scene but it's not. Anyone know what I'm thinking of?

The main gag is that she finds it somewhere he claims he already looked (typical), but he interprets her “magically” finding it as witchcraft.

4 panels. She looks very annoyed in the last panel.

I saw it originally on Reddit, but I can’t find it anywhere now.

I am not sure if this is from media or real life or a dream and Google isn’t helpful. Does anyone know of a person that watched his father die by cyanide pill? If I am remembering correctly the father said something like “I can’t take it anymore.” And then ate the pill. Any help would be appreciated!
