Some key excerpts:

In the latest twist in the bruising beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, the Canadian rapper has initiated legal action against Universal Music Group over allegations that the company conspired using Spotify to artificially inflate the popularity of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

The action is doubly surprising because UMG distributes both artists’ recordings.

In a filing Monday in Manhattan court first reported by Billboard, Drake’s Frozen Moments LLC accused UMG of launching an illegal “scheme” involving bots, payola and other methods to boost the numbers for Lamar’s viciously personal song, which accuses Drake of pedophilia and amplified the already fiery dispute between the two artists.

“UMG did not rely on chance, or even ordinary business practices,” the petition continues. “It instead launched a campaign to manipulate and saturate the streaming services and airwaves.”

The song in question can be found here: YouTube | Spotify | Tidal | Apple Music

According to public records, there is no David Flory who resides at that apartment building in western Miami. But a fellow named David Flor once lived there. He died in 2013.

Looking to talk to the David Flory of Miami Beach, a Mother Jones reporter reached his wife, Julie Flory on her cell phone, and asked if she was familiar with the Miami address associated with the $100,000 donation to the For Love of Country, Inc. PAC. She said did not know it. She then conferenced her husband David into the call. Asked about the $100,000 contribution to Gabbard’s PAC and the address tied to it, he said, “Doesn’t sound familiar,” and he tried to end the conversation. Pressed as to whether he had made a donation to Gabbard, he said, “I’m not interested in talking to you about it.” Sounding irritated, he addressed his wife, “Julie, don’t take these calls. Just hang up on them.” He then left the call.

Another early major donor to the For Love of Country, Inc. PAC was John Calnan, the head of a Massachusetts construction company, who kicked in $25,000. He gave $200,000 to the Trump campaign this year. A few months later—shortly after Gabbard endorsed Trump—disgraced Las Vegas mogul, Steve Wynn, a close pal of Trump, cut this PAC a $60,000 check.

All told, from February through mid-October, For Love of Country, Inc. raised $280,000. It only spent $49,000. Ten thousand dollars of those expenditures paid for an event in Las Vegas. Almost all the rest covered payments to Gabbard’s political staff and advisers.

Description: The background is an anime girl, rainbows, hearts. I can't really make out what it is supposed to show, but it's very cute. A text in the front says: "Being cute isn't your choice, it's mine. You're cute now."

I have jellyfin, qbittorrent, radarr, sonarr, prowlarr. I end up with copies of things I download in two places, media folder, and then in a radarr or sonarr subfolder. Radarr and sonarr are configured to have their own dirs. Jellyfin has media libraries for movies and shows pointing to those same subdirs. But qbittorrent has a default save dir of the media dir.

If I delete something in jellyfin, it gets deleted only from the subfolder, not the media folder.

I thought that radarr and sonarr would tell qbittorrent where to download to... and it would be their subdirs. So what is making the copy in media? And is there some reason I should have these extra copies?

The Texas State Board of Education approved a new curriculum that will incorporate stories from the Bible into elementary school education.

In an eight-to-seven vote on Tuesday, the board approved the state-written “Bluebonnet” curriculum, which infuses Bible stories into language arts materials for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. All four Democrats on the board were joined by three Republicans in voting unsuccessfully against the curriculum.

The last "Star Trek" feature film released in theaters was "Star Trek Beyond" back in 2016. The movie was directed by Justin Lin, the filmmaker behind "Better Luck Tomorrow" and several of the "Fast and Furious" movies, and it was co-written by Simon Pegg, who also played Scotty in the film. "Beyond," the third film in the Kelvin timeline, was ... pretty good. The action was clear and the character work was solid — the entire cast brought their A-games — but the film overall was generic action nonsense; it was the fourth "Star Trek" film in a row about a twisted villain on a mission of revenge. Sadly, "Beyond" wasn't as big a hit as Paramount wanted, and it seemed to be the end of the road for "Star Trek" in theaters.

Ever since, though, Paramount has been persistently struggling to make a fourth "Star Trek" movie set in the Kelvin timeline. As of this writing, some new plans are afoot to finally make said film along with a prequel movie set at an earlier point in the "Star Trek" timeline. Given how many false starts there have been on "Star Trek 4," however, one will simply have to bide their time to see if anything comes to fruition

...

In an interview with Katee Sackhoff on "The Sackhoff Show," Pegg talked a little bit about his "Star Trek" experiences. In doing so, he admitted he has a hard time imagining "Star Trek 4" ever getting made, seeing as it would be "tainted" by Yelchin's absence.

...

"I'd love to do more. Obviously, it's been forever tainted because we lost Anton, and that was a really hard thing for everyone involved, and for the real world, let alone anything else. If we do come back, if there is another opportunity to come back, I'd love to. Because as we were saying earlier on, it's a group of guys that I dearly, dearly love and don't get to see very often [...] It would be good to get back together with them."
