Motorola for phones. Does everything you need with a near AOSP android. Affordable too. good official support, and good community support with lineageos

OSMAnd beats out Google Maps, if you are a trail climber etc. Google's entries are so lacking, whereas OSM content has near exact coordinates and paths for sooooo many routes.

In Europe at least I had some minor functionality with OSMAnd... but Google beats it out no contest, in terms of speed, accuracy, and being up-to-date... which is depressing but that's the reality.

it's the only reason I haven't stopped using Maps

It could be assumed that Valve updated VAC on their side to check for the use of those specific workaround libraries, and if a VAC ban did somehow land, surely one could contest it and say "I followed this workaround".

I feel they have more leniancy to Linux users because that's literally their financial base now for the Deck, but it's embarassing this is affecting SO many Source 1 games and no official fix yet.
