Oh, and remember, next Friday is Risan Shirt Day.

It makes me very uncomfortable to make speech and holding opinions (whether factual or not) illegal.

It sets a dangerous precedent and is a double edged sword. What if we’d declared criticizing internment camps or the 60’s scoop as hateful prejudice against Canada? What if the next government makes speaking against oil illegal?

Education and acknowledgement is the answer. We need to continue making everything about residential schools public. It should be easy to see evidence of their practices, know who ran them, how many children died and where they’re buried, etc. It should be obvious this happened and was awful.

My cat is so confusing.

He lets my wife rub his belly and loves it, but he doesn’t let me. He then follows me around everywhere all day every day, and he always wants to sleep near me.

I play with him a lot, so I think sometimes it’s a “come play with me” and sometimes he thinks I’m going to play with him if I pet his belly, so he gets bitey.

I think stomping out unimatrix 0 and forcing drones into small units so they don’t communicate too broadly means top left.

We’ve got some strong Star Trek nonsense brewing in !tenforward@lemmy.world

I don’t care if it catches on, I’m enjoying it here where the people are still awesome.

Huh, the one I worked in didn’t have that.

It just had a glow in the dark handle for the door.

This is made me laugh harder than I have in a week!

Effectively yes.

They give you $200. You give the NDP $200. You get $150 back at tax time.

Now you have $150, the NDP has $200, so you've effectively had Ford give the NDP $150.

75% tax exemption on provincial political donations, so if you donate to the NDP you spend $50 and the provincial government sends $150 supporting them.

She has a decent following these days and her last album plus videos seemed well received by fans.

Definitely feel bad about a 14 year old getting singles out by millions of people to make fun of her though.

I don't know much about her recent music, but I respect that she stuck with things and it sounds like a decade of seriously working resulted in her turning out pretty good.

TNG S5E6 The Game

I had fun with this one, it’s a bit messy though

In my head there was a heavenly light pouring out from the grocery store.

I’ve never used my marker pen before so decided to try it out, I like the feel of it

I don’t often shade with brush pens, and I’m rusty on my lining, but I had fun

S5 E3 Ensign Ro

Mot talking over Picard feels like a latinum mine for memes.

TNG S4E16 Galaxy's Child

This episode has so much cringe in it.

Geordie setting up a meeting and trying to make it into a date is a lot. Plus omitting that he had the computer summarize her files to resolve a critical crisis, while using the information he got from her file in discussing with her is not good.

Brahms does an excellent job letting him down and putting up firm boundaries.

But oh god, when she discovers the holodeck program, and then Geordie rant!

It's tough to watch in a totally different way than the Quark Gender swap episode.
