Eh. Say what you will about Valve, but The Verge knew the risks of publishing. Even if technical issues allowed for legal loopholes, intentionally ignoring the spirit of the agreement is valid grounds for bans.

Not stupid, but I am curious if the type of concrete being used will last 1200 years.

Long time fans of the 2d games really enjoy Wonder as the movement mechanics moved back to a faster feel from pre-New Super Mario Bros. My favorite will probably always be Super Mario World because the movement is the most responsive in that game and I also like to play ROM hacks for it and that community is wild.

New Super Mario Bros ended up with a sluggish movement by comparison and dominated 2d Mario for decades.

The big draw for many people in Mario is movement mechanics and that's why Odyssey is so popular as well. The 3d platforming with Cappy just feels right. Like a missing extension that we never new we didn't have.

I didn't think there's anything wrong with using a domino. Not every channel explains that you can use a dowel jig.

A real problem in DIY video is treating materials cost as the only cost to taking on a project. I've definitely seen at a bunch of them demonstrate doing a project in a way that requires a certain tool without explaining alternatives. I've seen many videos that get a job done for under 50 dollars because they have a full shop on hand.

Nobody hates the domino. They hate that it's used in YouTube projects trying to display doing something on the cheap.

If the projects used a dowel jig instead, nobody would complain. But the domino is a very expensive tool and blows the goal of a 35 dollar project.

As it should be. The needs of a systems language are very different than the needs of a virtualized or interpreted one. I honestly don't see how people use a single IDE for every language but I respect their choice to do it.

From Texas. I'm actually kinda surprised to hear how slow people are driving there. Our perspective is largely that the Autobahn is generally people driving closer to 160km/h.

We have roads here that are limited to 136km/h. So it's kinda surprising to find out that most Autobahn drivers aren't breaking that speed.

I've always had flaky connections but discovered it's the cable. Usually when connection gets flaky I replace the cable and it works well going forward.

I definitely feel like it's interesting. But it kind of ignores much of the point of speed running if it requires either a mod or the results of previous runs to accomplish without accounting for that.

It would be like calling a video of the last few frames before hitting the final axe of Super Mario Bros representative of an entire run.

The 2 seconds is a valid part of a complete run.
