He had a portable tv and was watching himself as he said it in the debate.

Trumpception.

Sounds a lot like war crimes.

I make no secret of how much I disagree with the Governments policy choices but this takes the award for making me apoplectic.

Fuck the most vulnerable members of society! They don’t contribute anything. Landlords need their dignity back and house flippers should get more profit.

Fucking scum.

If only he’d used the correct shade of purple pen then he would have been home free!

190GB of space needed? What the actual fuck???!?

Yeah and Flava Flav supporting the women’s waterpolo team after his domestic abuse charges is also pretty wild.

Came here to say exactly this.

If you want to dive even further into why the foundations of modern macroeconomics are bunk, then I can also recommend reading Debunking Economics by Steve Keen.

A Handmaid’s Tale wasn’t meant to be a roadmap.

I’m also a life long halo fan. However I came to terms a long time ago with the fact that the media I love will change over time.

Would I prefer that Star Wars had stuck to Admiral Thrawn being the big bad post Return of the Jedi? Absolutely, but I didn’t throw a fit when the sequel trilogy retconned all the books I read in the 90s. I was more happy to get new media after so long and despite the movies being awful we at least got some decent side projects like Andor and Rogue One.

Edit: Sorry, to be clear, I’m not saying you are throwing a fit, I just remember all the toxic wailing and nashing of teeth on the Halo subreddit. The first season was bad television regardless of whether it was Halo or not.

Bit of a shame as I thought the 2nd season redeemed itself. Fall of Reach was well done.

The Auckland Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP) outlines what transport projects will get funded over the next 10 years. It is a joint plan between Auckland Transport, KiwiRail, and the NZ Transport Agency. Consultation is now open until the 17th of June.

This time around, there is a disconnect between the aspirations of the city and central government’s signalled priorities. There is not enough money set aside nationally for public transport services or infrastructure to keep things running as they are, let alone to start on new projects.

If you want your voice heard now’s the time to provide feedback on what you think the priorities should be.

The FDS will guide where housing growth is targeted over the next 30 years and has a huge impact on the provision of housing and transport infrastructure. Submissions are open until the 31st of July.

This update proposes pulling back from some of the most wasteful greenfield expansions in the Northwest near Kumeū/Huapai and in the south between Drury and Pukekohe. These are the “Supporting Growth” areas where AT and Waka Kotahi have been investigating billions of dollars worth of transport infrastructure to subsidise sprawl.

Greater Auckland has an article out today summarising the strategy and changes https://www.greaterauckland.org.nz/2023/07/20/the-future-development-strategy/

Looks like I’m not going into the office next week.

The rest of the motu seems pretty active so it’d be great to connect with others across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
