Here, at the connection between technology and queerness–in the liminality between desire and technology–there is room for new imaginings. It is no surprise then that technology, which had always been promised as the horizon of the future, had placed into it the dreams of those who hoped for a new future beyond the limitations we had today. As the queer and trans community found new connections and language to express our imaginations on this new digital frontier, we expanded beyond the boundaries of others' expectations for our bodies. Our lives began to push and break the limits of what others said we could become. Is it surprising, then, that the internet has become a space for our collective queer imagination of a future horizon?

Robert T. Tally Jr. reads Tolkien's corpus with the tools of Marxist literary criticism, delivering a devastating blow to the fantasy writer's rightist fans.

Osmotic Studios’ Closer the Distance is a melancholy Sims-like where you play as several community members grieving one of their own.

Another lighthearted documentary from your friends at People Make Games! This time Quinns explores the disconcertingly-familiar world of government-funded, military wargaming and its relationship with the commercial games industry.

The castle goes back to the 12th century when it protected a bridge over the river Loire. It modified to fit the tastes of the late Renaissance in the 15th and 16th century, though some parts of the original 12th century building are still visible.

The castle is part of the UNESCO world heritage site of the Loire valley.

The Game of Sisyphus is about moving a boulder up a hill, but for its developers—and by extension, its players—it's about so much more.

In November 2023, I stumbled upon an article about a virtually unknown ancient site that captured my imagination - a place that seemed to defy explanation with what appeared to be a floating door on a flat-topped mountain. This enigmatic site, located in Hejin City, Shanxi Province, China, sparked a viral sensation with its blend of natural and man-made mysteries. Despite its sudden fame, the fortress vanished from the limelight as quickly as it appeared, leaving many questions unanswered.

Determined to uncover the secrets of this ancient fortress, I embarked on a meticulous quest to learn more about this elusive site. My initial research led me to various names like ‘Longmen Fortress’ and ‘Wiezhaung Village Castle,’ with some even dubbing it a ‘Nephilim Hideout.’ However, none seemed officially recognized, prompting me to name it the Hejin City Fortress.

We’re gonna look at a TikTok account that uses Math to explain (Hate) women. While it’s tempting to dismiss this account as just another routine TikTok Mysoganist - because he’s so committed to charts, math and something that looks like science… he almost figures out why young men are struggling with women.

The way I interprete Tolkien, I think he meant Fëanor as an example how even the best among the best can be corrupted by their hatred. He does not mince words in regards to Fëanor's positive attributes after all.

For Fëanor was made the mightiest in all parts of body and mind: in valour, in endurance, in beauty, in understanding, in skill, in strength and subtlety alike: of all the Children of Ilúvatar, and a bright flame was in him.

The quality issues of "Rings of Power" aside, for anyone who believes that Tolkien's works don't include moral grayness, there is only one response: Fëanor.

In the original interview, she makes it clear that there several incidents and that the AI images she got were the last straw which convinced her to delete Twitter.

Yeah, if anyone needed a clear sign where exTwitter's journey was going, that was it. It's the nazi bar now and people should not hang out there anymore.

Yeah, it's way overdue to delete Twitter, but I also know far too many people who cling to it, providing one specious justification or another. I really don't know what still needs to happen in order for left-ish/progressive/queer/... people to finally get off of Twitter.

Additionally to what has already been mentioned: People are susceptible to politics that confirm their prejudices. Right-wing political thought is largely based on confirming that whatever prejudices people hold, they are morally good and justified. Thus elevating an in-group above out-groups. That is a powerful lure.

Incompatibilities between hardware and software caused data corruption. This resulted in hangups and increasingly frequent crashes. It was necessary to download a new gender, which is currently being installed.

I am not entirely sure, but it's either the Aurora Flopsie or Cabela's Giant Red Fox.
