I think it was Neal Stephenson's book The Diamond Age that had clouds of nanomachines constantly at war with each other creating a fog of dead and dying machines that people would just walk through pretty much ignoring it. I read that a long freaking time ago, so I'm sure that memory is, to some degree, degraded.

Because the drones are made in China and China wants Russia to genocide so that they can get away with their genocides. It would be nice if we started manufacturing again, but we seem to have trouble getting anything done.

I should have added a little warning. Having all those blocklists active does break a fair amount of the internet, but it's worth it for me.

That makes sense. I enjoyed the first Tom Cruz Reacher movie. Then I read a handful of the books, and was just very disappointed in the casting.

This seems kind of inefficient, but I love all these large-scale energy storage attempts. And these people are a hell of a lot smarter than I am.

I'm not sure that I would want to see it, but I was surprised that True Lies didn't turn into a franchise.

It's probably because I was drunk when I watched Judge Dredd in the theater, but I seem to remember liking Stallone in that. I thought that Dredd was just a worse rip-off of The Raid, but then I read somewhere that they basically co-evolved to a similar thing.

Not that kind of mask. From the article, it was a response to masked counter-protestors violently attacking the protestors.

I think most people would agree with that. Like so many issues though, the will of the people just doesn't seem to have an impact.
