Can confirm, had a similar upbringing

Exactly, it's an awful treadmill. EA as a whole was at nearly 60% profit last year. Coupled with layoffs, it seems they're trying to keep that infinite spend as potential as possible lol

I just hope something good comes out of recent ex-rspn teams.

Afaik they're still using awful third-party servers, lag compensation is still aggressive as fuck, they tried to "fix" visibility by slapping a bandaid in the form of healthbars, and the anticheat thing was another bandaid instead of a surgery. Overall it's kinda stuck, all of the old issues are still there.

They have a shitload of new cosmetics though, if that's your jam. Funnily enough, they were so greedy even esport orgs didn't want to keep working with them. Rspn offered a one-time payment, orgs wanted a percentage of sales. Mind you, it's a fairly big esport that advertises the game for them (btw played on better servers than available in-game).

Imagine making billions (with an S) off of one game and still calling it a miss. Chasing infinite growth is so dumb.

Idk, most likely its region/class dependant because I had dumb phones, some very early androids, and an Athlon 64 3000+ pc and I'd call myself a zoomer

edit: before that I had some ancient family pc but it's only relevance is getting me entertained, didn't tinker with it or anything. Also my old phone's 4.4 android was my favorite because it was polished enough while still letting you do dumb shit with it

Yeah, being dumb is hardware-agnostic. As some guy put it, "being stupid isn't a big deal anymore; some of my best friends are stupid".
It just stunlocks me a little bit as younger people have been around tech their whole life, unlike boomers, who were born before computers.

If you get an actual file explorer it's fine. I'm using a fossilized asus one because I got used to it years ago.

ER has a 60 fps cap and it sold like crazy, nothing surprises me anymore

I bet it works well for when the sun is in your eyes, too.

Those are just as much of your surroundings as regular lights though

I'm sorry you found out this way. Prepare your preganante fund

From what I've seen it has a lil sidebar that lets you limit the resources available to it. Also a load of shortcuts to giveaways and storefronts. It's also hideous, as all gamer stuff should be.

Honestly it gives me more "lowspec" vibes, than "gaming", and there are far better ways to browse on low spec machines.
