Yes, and please don't add any solvent, it may lead to some kind of unwanted solution
Yesterday I was thinking about this, it is like authorities don't give a fuck about piracy until someone local complains about it. Years ago it was about the music but it turns out is wasn't the musicians who were complaining, it was the society in charge of collecting and distributing the money between the copyright holders (sgae), those were corrupt as fuck and after a couple scandals I haven't heard about them much.
It's like reddit but spread out.
If reddit is one big city, lemmy is dozens of small towns with a good network of public transport between them.
That's what happens when something grows too much, at some point moderation is impossible and rules start with one intention but turn into the absurd.
This is exactly it. This is just training for children customisation.
Also a broken bit of lead could easily float into someone's eye or get aspirated.
Tech billionaires trying to make it profitable by scamming schools. I bet they'll want to charge many times the salary of the teachers they want to replace.
I totally get the tech savvy feeling. There's usually too much information and options. With email it is easier to say "pick one at random, they are all the same". Lemmy seems very different at first, you see a big list of instances, each one with it's descriptions, some of them stating ideals and visions, it feels like a more important choice than what it is.
All this even before reading anything about defederation!
Most people needs that first choice made for them and figure thing out once inside.
Dragon Ball, second episode. They removed the part when Goku removes Bulma's panties, affecting the events of the third episode.
In this case the uncensored version is much crazier.
Another example of the all or nothing mentality.
