I remember reading FEMA conspiracies on the internet 20 years ago. The bit I remember is that FEMA is going to use a diaster to round up anyone not a milquetoast "sheeple" and put them in concentration camps as part of ushering in the New World Order. Wikipedia has an article on it that covers the basics -- it dates back to 1982.

The website I saw had pictures of the backs of street signs, claiming the stickers and blemishes from the factory were "semaphores" that FEMA could use as route markers to said concentration camps. It was wild.

Don't forget that starship launch last year. The dumbass blew up a rocket and launched giant chunks of concrete onto people's property because he's a impatient child.

Which is hilarious, as the eponymous Culture is the epitome of luxury gay space anarchism. Pan-sexual, non-monogamous space hippies that can (and do) change their biological sex just by thinking about it. People so past the idea of "gender" that they consider giving any serious weight to the concept barbaric.

I know it's a rhetorical question: but is Elon stupid or something?

Age and activity level absolutely effect how "tough" meat is. I've raised and cooked both heritage breed chickens and modern broilers. The former take 2-3 times as long to reach maturity, are far more active, and as a result are "tougher". You can cook them just as fast a broiler, but the end result is going to be tough/chewy meat. The longer cooking time is needed to achieve equally tender meat.

It's the difference between cooking a rib-eye and a brisket.

If only there were extensive images and videos of what happened.

Oh wait, there's extremely graphic ones. (NSFL)

It's not about getting the day off: the goal is getting people to vote. Tying an extra day off to actually voting is more likely to get people to the polls

Modern bright lighting is great for daytime but one of the worst things we can do to ourselves in the evening or night. We absolutely did not evolve to be exposed to bright (particularly blue/white) light after the sun starts setting.

The best thing I did for my circadian rhythm was eliminate light in the bedroom and set up my lights to slowly shift to soft amber and dim in the evening. The trick is having it transition slowly so your eyes adjust and you don't notice it.

To add to what you've said: if you've ever hit a bug (or anything else) at those speeds you notice it. A junebug will leave a fairly decent bruise on exposed skin, and for comparison a paintball out of a marker travels about 190 mph.

Imagine the random far more substantial debris flying around during a hurricane near those speeds.

One theory about how the whole Roswell UFO/aliens thing as government gaslighting.

This stuff happened during the height of the cold war when the Soviet Union was 100% looking for anything they could get on the USA's secret programs. It's easy to poison a source of actual intel if you send a few guys in suits and sunglasses to ask vague, leading questions to steer them towards "little green men."

Fully automated luxury gay space communism.

I remember when we had forums, it was ok to be upset sometimes.

I remember mods and admins that would ban you because you gently disagreed with something they said.

There wasn't a moderation team -- it was one weird guy that got off on power.
