Wtf is a “clean” vegan diet?

[–] neurospice@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Here's the thread (archive link) that the admin intervened in:

@naevaTheRat@lemmy.dbzer0.com, cats CAN NOT survive for long with a vegan diet. Its dangerous for them. Cats are carnivores.

Please refrain from removing warnings about such dangerous facts. Everyone who killed their cats by doing so, have a nice rest of your life knowing you killed your loved pet.

p.s. yes i am a cat owner.

Edit: to the rest of the mods: Dont promote harmfull things for pets. @naevaTheRat@lemmy.dbzer0.com and @Eevoltic are demoted.

If anyone else thinks pets should be vegan i have no problem banning them for being a troll and promoting killing pets.

Just that you heard it from me too: YES cats can survive vegan diet for few months but prolonged exposure and it gets harmful for the pet and even death.

Edit: This was in-between the comments by @Omniforous@mander.xyz being removed/restored

Yes, we have vegan cookies (and also vegan pizza upon your arrival)

It's the vegans that are the animal abusers!

Wow, haven't seen someone use "SJW" unironically in a very long time. Can't believe you got instance banned just for sharing the modlog (which everyone can see...). Certified fediverse moment

Wouldn't want to imagine what could happen if I failed that arcana check in 4.

Sorry for not replying sooner, was preoccupied. It's an Earthling Ed video about the new 'hybrid' (plant based + meat based) products entering the market, in particular Quorn and Smug Dairy (never heard of them, but I hate their name it's on point), and how they are being advertised as better for the environment and health than 100% meat based products. He breaks down his thoughts on it and gives a few reasons why these companies might be doing this.

I genuinely didn't know of this and that this was a thing so it was educational for me. Also kinda shocking (but I guess not really for a vegetarian product line) that Quorn is selling meat.

I love how #9 and #10 are perfectly balanced

It seems that for me whenever the meds "kick in" I can't really mask properly anymore which causes undesired social issues with some friends (especially in an outdoor setting like this meme implies). Wondering how many others experience this, and does anyone know why this happens? I haven't found any good reading on it and the psychs I mention it to just dismiss it.
