My first game just entered Open Beta Test - turn based strategy with toy army men - Bedroom Battlegrounds

Hello all, I'm happy to announce that I've just opened beta test for my first Steam game release, which will be available between 30.05 and 02.06.

This is a turn based strategy game, where you play with toy army men trying to conquer your opponent on the other side of the room. Available in single player mode against the AI, or local multiplayer, also via Steam Remote Play.

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2776110/Bedroom_Battlegrounds/

I'd be very happy to hear your feedback, which you can send over here, or through a dedicated feedback form. https://forms.office.com/r/nvt7vAz9kF Your feedback will play a crucial role in enhancing the game before releasing the demo for the upcoming Steam Next Fest, and subsequently full version of the game later this year.

Looking forward to hear your feedback. Happy conquering!

I know a version with a graphics designer. They designed something in 10 minutes and asked 1000 USD for it. When confronted on why it is so expensive for just 10 minutes of work, the answer is that it's not just the 10 minutes of work, but also the 10 years of experience that lead to this 10 minutes of work.

You might want to join the !mechanicalkeyboards@lemmy.ml

I personally haven't tried the ergonomic keyboards yet, have been using Ducky One 2 for a few years and recently got KBDcraft Kit Adam (Lego keyboard) and I'm enjoying this one, super soft and nice sounding switches. From the ergonomic keyboards I've seen Keychron K11 Pro as an interesting one, but you'd have to see if it fits you, I can't really recommend any myself.

How do you like your rice cooker? Is the rice actually any better?

We're Polish living in Germany and were invited to a wedding in India by a friend of ours. The groom is Indian and the bride is Mexican, to make things more complicated. It's planned at the end of November. That's the first time going to India for us, we don't know much about the culture. We don't know what we should get them as a gift. What would be a good idea for a gift? What's traditionally gifted there?

There's supposed to be another wedding in Mexico next year, to which we'll also be invited, so in case you have any ideas for that wedding - feel free to chime in already!

Thanks for all the responses!

Hopefully the donations will allow them to hire professional developers that will guide them in the correct direction. It's good enough for hobbyists like myself and I hope there is a potential that it'll grow to be a serious competitor for other engines.
