I'm having a hard time understanding the timeline and chain of events and the logic behind some of the actions taken.

Presumably WaPo was going about their routine prepping a presidential endorsement as they've done since 1976. Bezos gets wind of the impending Harris endorsement and the order comes through to kill the endorsement. Now I'm assuming that order did not also come with orders of strict confidentiality beyond what an organization like that would already have in place, otherwise we'd likely hear about the extra stuff along with the endorsement killing.

At this point did Bezos truly think that would just be the end of it? Did he not think a newspaper that had endorsed a presidential candidate since 1976 suddenly not doing so wouldn't at the very least be investigated by others? Did he trust the company to not have any leaks?

Like at this point WaPo has defacto endorsed Harris. Is there some benefit to an "official" endorsement that is missed by a defacto one?

We're not unlucky because trump is running necessarily. We're unlucky because half the fucking country doesn't see what an insane and horrific choice he is.

Or it's efficient parenting. People might not want to spend a bunch of time walking house to house. Not all houses want to be walked to. Trunk or treat offers a quick single location of like minded people, a safe environment, and quick turnaround.

Do you remember Boaty McBoatface?

I had jumped back in when tbc classic was released. I wound up on a dead server. It made end game content essentially impossible. I was hoping to move right into wotlk classic at release as that was my jam back in the day. Except they weren't going to include the dungeon finder or cross realm groups meaning it would still be a dead server with no chance at end game content. I was done with pointlessly dumb leadership. Unsubbed and found a private server that hits all the right buttons.

Well I don't want it to come before me!

So I'm trying to search for that clip and I can't find one. It's been debunked by Reuters in 2020. Do you have anything besides your memory?

Should make deepfakes where he sounds sane and rational while pushing policy issues on the left. Get the MAGAts unintentionally supporting those things solely because their "daddy" said something good about it. Then wrestle with the confusion about supporting left leaning policy or admitting they just buy in to whatever trump says no matter what.

Obligatory "fuck United".

They fucked up my vacation a number of years ago and I have since sworn them off. The most generous interpretation of the incident is that I missed an email updating a time change and arrived at the airport after the flight had left. Their next flight wasn't until the next morning. My wife and I were looking and there was a flight from a different airline that would have cost them $400 each to book for us (they wouldn't refund us so we could purchase that separately). The first agent at the counter completely understood our request but simply didn't have the authority to make that decision. So she got a supervisor. The supervisor did that annoying ass thing where they listen to your request and then restate it in objectively different terms to sound unreasonable. In the end they covered a hotel for the night and gave us $550 each in travel vouchers and lost a customer for life. So they ended up paying way more and lost a customer than had they not fucked around from the start. Had they paid the $400 from the beginning, we'd have given them much higher preference on our future flights which have been many.

Had a friend and his wife move in with us for a short time as they were moving to our city for a new job. They offered to help with chores and whatnot around the house, and he specifically mentioned he could help with yard work. I told him in no uncertain terms that that was my "me time" and he was to never intrude on that again. He chuckled knowingly.

And ended with her valiantly saving Jon Snow and losing one of her dragons in the process. Yup. That's where it ended. No more of her character was developed.

My understanding is a lot of "greens" eventually become "brown". Green leaves when they dry up would switch to a "brown". Same with dead grass.

With that in mind I tried a very lazy process of only adding greens for a continual process. My first addition to my pile this year was grass clippings. They still haven't really broke down.

Is my approach fundamentally flawed? Or is there something I'm missing to improve the process?
