Co-signing 538. Great podcast, especially for those that are good at processing/understanding data

Binged it and it was good.

I think it's one thing to push liberal-leaning articles to liberals to give them what they want. (I'm a progressive but I know a circle-jerk when I see one). It's something else when they are getting people to hate-watch toxic content from far-right content creators who are repeated bad-faith actors. If Richard Spencer had a YouTube channel, would they embed his videos as well? Sus AF.

For game subscription services, I use a month as a 'taster' and then buy games outright that will keep me busy for months. Paying for a subscription in perpetuity isn't worth it for my gaming, but admittedly, I'm a millennial that grew up before online gaming et al.

Zero clicks on the video. Screw both of them.

Also feels like Mediate is subtly spreading Candace Owens videos by embedding it instead of just a screenshot or a link to another page to get the info if desired

Security Incident is any and everything. Messing w/ a license plate is a nothingburger from a reader perspective and that's why they buried the lede. AP News doesn't do that: NYC man accused of damaging license plates on Secret Service vehicles guarding VP’s stepdaughter. Clearly based on the downvotes you're getting, I'm not the only one seeing the nuance here.

One more vote for Loop Habit Tracker

I get it. I'm a year in and was pulling my hair out dealing w/ frustrating issues for the first few weeks/months. Smooth sailing now, but I don't deny the learning curves that are possible.

The author is not responsible, but the people who write the headlines for these articles are, and they purposefully wrote it in a way that you won't tamp down expectations until actually clicking and reading the article. It's bait-and-switch adjacent and could've led w/ a more neutral title.

Here's a real example of how it's done w/o clickbait: https://alexandrite.app/lemmy.world/post/18157498

Biden will get my vote as well if he decides to stay in the race too. I'm more concerned about moderates and never-Trumpers and I don't think Biden will ever win them over after his debate performance

Woof. I disagree w/ this 100%.

The article insinuates he has unwavering support from Congress when in actuality he has tepid support and uncertainty among his contemporaries.

Also, the donors are pushing back so hard not because they are 'elite' but because they were also at the Clooney fundraiser where Biden sh!t the bed there as well w/ a performance that rivaled the incoherence of the debate performance. They are of the opinion that this isn't a one-time thing and is in fact the writing on the wall.

Here's the hosts from Pod Save America discussing it: (timestamped) https://youtu.be/vbVcn_VQt5A?si=5cqL5NMuUigvbps4&t=1425
