This is a friendly reminder to include the artist/source for your image

Standards? Reminds me of that 12-inch tall king…

Terrible leading, but made a great ruler

Please see the updated sidebar. Do not post external links to websites such as Facebook and Instagram.

Genuinely curious, do you all think should there be a rule against posting major social media links such as this?

My thought is that I assume most of us are here for a different online social experience and would ideally not contribute to the current social media companies’ practices.

The joke is on point, but I’m wondering if it can be hosted on PeerTube or something.

of when I handed my dad his 60th birthday card.

He told me, “You know one would have been enough.”

I just updated the sidebar. As a rule of thumb, if you cannot tell this joke to a 5-year-old, you should probably post it to the new community !unclejokes@lemmy.world

I know everyone may be interacting with Lemmy in different ways, but the sidebar mentions the guidelines for the community. From the limited feedback I got, crediting the artists was valued, so I would like to continue that.

I know it is not as convenient to search, but the artist or source took the time to create or capture the image you are enjoying, so we can take 60 seconds to search for their name.

If you run it through Google Images or any other image search and cannot find an artist or source website, you can simply put “artist not found” or something to that extent.

Please let me know if these seems unreasonable or you have a different suggestion. Like many of you folks, I’m adapting the best I can to develop the community environment.
