this is so funny because FB literally tracks and stores every piece of data about you possible in any context it can regardless of if you are a FB user or not. he hates his own business model

it is simultaneously overrated yet exactly deserving of all the praise it gets

the way it encourages cooperation with a stranger is staggeringly rare in games and i wish there were more things like it

why does beehaw log me out of firefox on ios after an hour or two, but logs me out of firefox on desktop after over a month? (beehaw.org)
 

it's been happening for two-ish months now and idk how to figure out if it's a me problem or a beehaw problem

If someone wants the ability to control how their data is used, it should be their right.

Who gets to survey the data? There are companies and governments who stand to profit of our existence being thrown into their machines.

There is a violence in that I still haven't figured out how to describe, but people lose their lives over this stuff. That should be enough to warrant such a right

anyone remember when it was intentional that search wasn't a thing and people defederated from instances that catalogued other instances' posts for search? just me?
