Yes it would be better to not have a system that needs so much money

Needs?

Biden spent over a billion and Kamala will dwarf that.

And even with that much money. We're still just punting a bunch of states.

If over a billion dollars isn't enough to run a full court press, how much is?

Like. At what point would you say they have enough money and the priority should shift to getting votes and not money?

I legitimately can't figure out how that much is "spent" except as a feedback loop to get more donations. A never ending hamster wheel where regular Americans are priced out of influence because a billionaire can give 960k to the "victory fund"

How many small donors are able to even come close to the actual 2.something thousand?

We can't do shit about getting money out of the general yet, but the reason is u til we get it out of Dem primaries, the majority who make it to the general won't want to ban it.

The only way to fix everything is to fix the dem party first.

They're all melting down...

MTG called Laura Loomer racist and demanded she take a tweet down because "president trump doesn't support racism".

They literally don't know what to do and all it took was putting a regular human barely under retirement age next to trump and her just existing.

Slightly more plausible than Bluetooth eatings where she had a full team of writers instantly coming up with her responses, all agreeing on it, and relating it to her with zero delay...

Nah, I'm tired of modern Dems acting like Republicans from a decade ago...

These are valuable policies. I believe, however, that her chances of winning improve if she expands that agenda to include popular solutions to the most important economic and political realities facing this country.

The American people want change, and that’s what she must deliver.

Here are just a few ideas that are not only excellent policy, but are extremely popular among voters across the political spectrum:

Not gonna copy all his suggestions but click the link and find out.

I've been saying the same thing for a while now though.

Everyone knows what trump would mean. It doesn't need to be the only thing Kamala talks about

We all know she's not trump, she needs to start giving voters substantial policy that voters want and the country desperately needs.

Thanks, yeah I was off a couple years too. Mitch was in office before Obama was president.

I mean, Jordan or Desi could easily carry the show.

Ronnie still needs some time, and if you haven't been watching Josh Johnson on standup you need to start.

He uploads a couple half hour sets a week, and it's all current topics. Dude could have his own show tomorrow and pull it off.

I started watching his stuff at some point during Covid, and when he made correspondent I knew he was going to be huge.

So it's great having Stewart come back occasionally, but they don't really need him, they've got the talent to do a second show like Colbert had back in the day even.

She needs to still show up as scheduled, say that just because trump won't make time for the American people doesn't mean she will ignore them

Either he takes the bait and shows up, or she dominates the news cycle now, before the debate, during the debate, and after it

The whole time trump won't be able to talk about anything besides the debate and how it's not "fair".

It's the common sense move, so I'll be surprised to see it, but I hope they do.

I honestly think Stewart's refusal to pretend Biden was still ok was instrumental in getting him to step down

All the "serious" news closed ranks for him, and even cable late shows like Colbert cracked a few jokes but still backed him.

Stewart was one of the few with the balls to say the bus was headed off a cliff and we needed to slam the brakes now instead of hoping we could land the jump.

Considering the "victory fund" nonsense effectively raised the per person cap to 960k this year. Just imagine how much good the taxes on it would have done if we actually fucking taxed the wealthy.

Then realize those donations is why we'll never tax the wealthy.

Politicians cut out the middle men and just collect it directly like the Catholics and Mormons do, get that 10% pre tax income...

Indiana is never "in play"...

Except when Obama carried the state ~~to the point they even got a Dem governor...~~

Then we started running moderates again for president, they got Pence who caused an HIV epidemic and then the whole country had to deal with him as VP.

The problem is what "red states" need to turn blue isn't what the DNC is willing to give.

India leads the world in generating plastic pollution, producing 10.2 million tons a year (9.3 million metric tons), far more than double the next big-polluting nations, Nigeria and Indonesia. China, often villainized for pollution, ranks fourth but is making tremendous strides in reducing waste, Velis said. Other top plastic polluters are Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia and Brazil. Those eight nations are responsible for more than half of the globe’s plastic pollution, according to the study’s data.

The United States ranks 90th in plastic pollution with more than 52,500 tons (47,600 metric tons) and the United Kingdom ranks 135th with nearly 5,100 tons (4,600 metric tons), according to the study.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration last week set a hearing date to take comment on the proposed historic change in federal drug policy for Dec. 2.

The hearing date means a final decision could well come in the next administration. While it’s possible it could precede the end of President Joe Biden’s term, issuing it before Inauguration Day “would be pretty expedited,” said cannabis lawyer Brian Vicente.

The Democratic presidential nominee will be joined by her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in an interview with CNN anchor Dana Bash in Savannah, Georgia. The interview will air Thursday at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
