  • The PC is on .11
  • It pings server on .10
  • Since PC is on .11, server tries to respond on .11
  • This will fail
  • Disabling .11 on the server works because it can no longer try to respond in that direction
  • I bet it will work if you disable the .11 default route

Unify them.

Now I have a full FOSS Active Directory for SSO logging into computers and services that supports 2FA where desired.

There was a time when I tried to educate people on the negative effects of browser monoculture. Okay, my mum didn't get it, but I was more disappointed by my fellow devs. Everyone took the easy route and happily stayed on Uncle Google's lap.

Hot take: Developers used to all be tech focused. Development today is just a job.

This is very generalized. Did you know there are thousands of diplomats? Most of them are just regular old civil servants, engineers, etc.

I bet MFCBot would work super well if it was updated to report on if the publication's owners had a vested interest in the topic.

That's odd, wonder if they revised the case at some point. Mine drops in.

Outriders. And a bit more tame but Unravel 2 for in-person.

And yes, before anyone asks, of course I posted to Lemmy first 😆

I just posted to Reddit about my Twystlock gaming accessory release. Something free for everyone.

Most subreddits don't allow cross-posting, so I made 5 posts in total. 1 was taken down by mods. 3 were taken down by Reddit. Only r/Handhelds survived.

I don't use Reddit anymore in day to day, but I've had releases like Winapps sit at the top of r/Linux for days and never had these issues until more recently. Garbage.

I mean, this would 100% be the plot of a kids cartoon.

Unexpected community.

I might look at this, but part of this for me was the engineering experience of building the connector along with supportless parts. So I'm not sure how much time I'd put into adapting away from that. Thanks for the suggestion!

It removes pay walls.

It rejects cookie requests.

It blocks ads.

It fixes the internet.

It is magnificent.

The Firefox for Android GitHub releases aren't being updated anymore, and is versions behind the Play Store now.

FDroid Fennec isn't fully the same app, and FDroid has it's own set of delays.

Is there a location where the latest version can be pulled/tracked with Obtainium?

Almost 30 more minutes of dishwasher.

This may violate the "low-effort" rule, but I thought readers might enjoy (remove if not, of course). This particular Android app Privacy Policy shows how the "one size fits all" of the Play Store doesn't always make sense.

Hey all,

In the market for a GPU, would like to use Bazzite, mostly a Steam user with some SteamVR (rare), and have run into nvidia issues with Bazzite and a 3070 previously.

With the recent news on nVidia's beta drivers and Plasma's sync support in beta, I'm newly on the fence about switching to AMD given nvidia having a better performance to cost ratio, the power usage (big one for a compact living room system), and the fact that they have the potential for HDMI2.1 support which AMD doesn't have a solution to yet.

What are community thoughts? I'll probably hold out for some reports on the new drivers regardless, but wanted to check in with the hive mind.

Thanks!

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me out here. I just did the upgrade, I've updated my ENV variables, and started, and I get:

2024-05-18T19:13:07.047224829Z 2024-05-18T19:13:07.046998Z  INFO migrate_04: pict_rs::repo::migrate: Running checks

I then proceed to get the following item for 110,670 files:

And then pict-rs just exits.

Turning on debug gives me more info, but nothing helpful after each of the above errors:

Any idea how to get pict-rs started? Or what I should look to for figuring this out.

Edit: Scanning the logs more closely I see that I never get the Migration complete message from here https://git.asonix.dog/asonix/pict-rs/src/commit/d45e3fa386e62e0538b3d7ba399ceaec80fdd7ca/src/repo/migrate.rs#L175, but I do get percentage completes up to Migration 59% complete - 213698/362224. Nothing else indicates, though.

Dumb question, but new to cycling, and the person at the store adjusted the height of the back via the tab. The Trek manual and video are absolute garbage, so we can't figure out how. Can anyone help?

Edit

To provide some context given the messages below. I was a professional photographer, and understand that getting a good photo is a skill. Exposure time, timing, location, and many other factors come into play when capturing a great image.

Seeing the aurora was a fantastic experience. The purpose of this post is to help reduce FOMO of those who could not see it. Many people who don't know these things will imagine dancing lights in the sky of brilliance, and will be saddened by what they missed. While they did miss something, it's important for them to know exactly what they missed.

Edit2 I should also note this is why I enjoy when photographers post gear, conditions, and settings alongside results. It tells viewers what was real.

So I'm guessing this has as much to do with a newer version of OpenRGB as the distro change, but I moved from Ubuntu 20.04 to Debian 12.

I've installed OpenRGB via the deb on the site. Running sudo openrgb -l -vv I get this at the end:

2: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
  Type: Motherboard
  Description: ASUS Aura USB Device
  Version: AULA3-AR42-0207
  Location: HID: /dev/hidraw0
  Serial: 9876543210
Modes: [Direct] Off Static Breathing Flashing 'Spectrum Cycle' Rainbow 'Chase Fade' Chase
Zones: 'Aura Mainboard' 'Aura Addressable 1'
LEDs: 'Aura Mainboard, LED 1' 'Aura Mainboard, LED 2' 'Aura Mainboard, LED 3' 'Aura Mainboard, RGB Header 1' 'Aura Mainboard, RGB Header 2'

But it no longer finds my fans via the standard ARGB controller. The RGB controller and on-board LEDS for the mobo work fine. I've tried every combination of switching "Zone", "LED", and "Mode" with no luck.

I do have an orp file that used to work if that helps? The strings output for anything ASUS are the same between the old one and a new one I made. So the devices exist in both, right? Here is an example:
