Macaroni because I'm hollow inside, and unlike penne, have no point

Super Mario 64 has to be my favourite (and is also the most recent one I've tried). When that came out it rocked my world, and I didn't even have my own N64 at the time. I would play at friends' houses or Toys R Us.

There was a Canadian TV show called Video and Arcade Top 10 and they would frequently give games away. I wrote to them explicitly requesting SM64, and a year later it just showed up in the mail.

This seems to have worked, got my desktop back. I did fsck on something like /dev/sda9 then answered yes to fix a bunch of things. Thanks for your help.

I'm right-handed and use my left hand to hold my phone. The right hand is for more important things.

Possibly - the laptop battery died and the first thing when turning it on was to set system time in BIOS. But it's not the first time doing that, just the first time it didn't boot afterwards.

My Linux Mint Cinnamon won't boot up. It's getting stuck on this screen and I don't know what to do to proceed. Before this screen appears it shows the LM logo for a moment.

I'm a total noob and just been using this for a month or two. Did not make any recent changes that I can recall.

I think the West Edmonton Mall comes pretty close at 5.3 million square feet. I remember seeing dolphins in there.

Raining bread!

I'm learning as I go. Proud of getting some interaction with the environment working. Still lots of bugs to sort out, especially player and camera movement!

I always wanted to try this game when I was a kid. When checking out reviews on Steam I noticed someone mention that Sega was giving it away for free for their 60th anniversary (a few years ago), and that website is still up and running. Long story short, I tried it and it works. Replacing the localhost part of the URL was necessary as the screenshot mentions.

Mayapple (lemmy.ca)

Found some in the woods yesterday and looked them up. Apparently the fruit is very tasty, resembling Starburst. Have you tried it?

Some more info on season/edibility: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uovfSkeyfbA

I tried a tiny taste and it was pretty neutral, not "grassy" at all. Might work well in a salad.

I didn't take any home since there was not much there and I'm not 100% sure on the ID.

They smell amazing

At least I'm pretty sure that's what it is. It has a nice garlic taste. I chopped it and put in some oil, salt and pepper for a nice little spread.

Not entirely made in the bush, but using resources from there.

I used my folding saw to cut the wood, then my new hand auger from Wish to make the hole. Morakniv Companion black knife to help carve out the peg, then a lot of sandpaper and filing to make it fit (+ help from another log to bash it in).

I used a power drill to make the holes for the hooks because I'm not sure how else to go about that.
