How on earth does this relate to WW1 at all? WW1 started because a Bosnian-Serb assassinated an Austrian duke, and when asked to investigate Serbia told Austria to fuck off. Serbia was a completely separate country to Austria, and was purposefully trying to stir up shit in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This was a U.S. citizen trying to assassinate a former U.S. president. Nobody else in the world is going to give a shit. We actually do this with startling frequency compared to most other countries.

At that point you're describing a civil war, which admittedly doesn't seem that far fetched anymore.

I think a lot of it is techbros that came to the city with remote jobs during the pandemic suddenly being surprised that their fantasy of "Western Country" is actually heavily rooted in racism. At the very least, that's the person I know who occasionally sends me news from the region. They keep thinking that Nashville can be a great blue city like New York or Chicago if they "just get enough people to move here", and I always tell em to keep dreaming.

The problem is that a lot of these lunatics are armed, either openly or concealed carry. Your average person isn't going to be willing to take the gamble with their life in order to confront these assholes, they're just gonna try and hurry on their way. The actual people who should be confronting Nazis are cops, but unfortunately the venn diagram of police and fascist supporters is a fucking circle.

Grew up in Nashville, still have racist family there. It absolutely is like that, just look at the state's house of representatives doing shit like expelling the only two Black members of the House last year. Maybe Nashville dreams of being a liberal bastion in a sea of red, but right now it's barely an island.

Students learn techniques that they apply to their own personal style. The goal of art school isn't to create a legion of artists that can churn out identical art, it's to give young creatives the tools they need to realize the ideas in their head.

AI has no ideas in it's head. Instead, it takes in a bunch of an artists work, and then produces something that does it's best to match the plagiarized artist's style exactly.

I think Filoni's The Clone Wars does explore a lot more of those themes, and offers a more compelling, gradual fall for an Anakin who struggles to control his emotions. Unfortunately, it also has entire episodes centered around Jar-Jar Binks, so it can be hard to get into.

That's because the book of Revelations is really just a big collection of vague scary sounding things. You can pull whatever interpretation you want out of it.

Finally, all those 18 yr olds in American high schools can say "Hey he got shot at just like me!"

Well, except for your country's immigration office, who would deny most average Americans the ability to join you.

The right has been engaging in stochastic terrorism for years now, that race already began.

The problem with this line of thinking is that the GOP doesn't have anyone else. They're a cult of personality for Trump and only Trump. We saw all the alternatives get paraded around in the GOP "primary," none of them are anywhere close to taking the reins. There's a very good chance that without Trump, the cult begins to fall apart.
