Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

“After consultation with our medical staff, Anthony, and those close to him, it has been determined that he will undergo surgery to repair his injured shoulder, which will end his season," owner Jim Irsay said in a statement. "Anthony is a competitor, and we know how difficult and disappointing this is for him and our team. We collected several medical opinions and we felt this was the best course of action for his long-term health. We anticipate a full recovery and there is no doubt Anthony has a promising future. In the meantime, I love the fight of this team and I'm excited for the opportunity we have ahead of us. It starts this week with Cleveland.”

“He is eligible to return to the active roster Dec. 4, following the Week 13 game against the Tennessee Titans.”

The most likelihood is he's probably going to be gone for the year," Irsay said. "I mean, it's not definite but [he] probably misses this year and we're going to have to contend with that factor."

"Richardson received an MRI at an imaging center, according to CBS Sports Senior NFL Insider Josina Anderson. Richardson, who wasn't hospitalized, will seek a second opinion regardless of the results of his initial scan, per Anderson."

The deal reportedly includes $26.5 million guaranteed and makes Taylor one of the highest-paid running backs in the NFL on an annual basis.

“Richardson is currently the QB2 in fantasy points per game.”

“…he has managed more fantasy points per game as a runner (12.38) than Joe Mixon, Rachaad White or Alexander Mattison. Additionally, his 29.60 fantasy points from Week 4 was the third-highest total by any QB this season…”

“Steichen said Taylor is "excited to be back" and didn't rule out the star running back from playing in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.”

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson will not play in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens as he remains in the concussion protocol.

“According to a report from The Mercury News, Luck has taken a part-time coaching job with Palo Alto High School. Twice a week, Luck will bestow his wealth of football knowledge upon the next generation of players, just feet from where he became as star as the Cardinal quarterback.”

Anthony Richardson in his NFL debut:

— 223 PASS YDS — 1 PASS TD — 40 RUSH YDS (led team) — 1 RUSH TD

1st rookie in NFL history with 200+ PASS YDS, 40+ RUSH YDS, 1 PASS TD and 1 RUSH TD in their debut.
