Sometimes I wonder if these people understand that no player ever wanted exclusivities on a game store. Instead of providing a decent service, they're litteraly trying to kidnap customers with a choice between waiting for months for this big release or taking it on a subpar platform.

The truth is that war kills people. And Russia started this war. Russia can stop it. Those are hard facts. As hard as the sun is yellow and bright in the day, and the earth is a sphere orbiting the sun. That's not propaganda.

Propaganda is your bullshit pretending that saying the sun is yellow and the earth a sphere are points of view you are free to disagree with.

Ukraine has no nuclear weapons. Nuclear arsenal is basically meant to face nato/USA in Russia.

Ukraine invading Russia is a humiliation. But it's not a real threat for now. Russia didn't even declared the state of war yet.

I've heard that Russia can't really use atomic bomb against Ukraine because Ukraine has no atomic bombs itself. If it did, it would spark nuclear proliferation by breaking a tabou. And China wouldn't allow that, because they don't want Taiwan to get the bomb.

But nato is an atomic power. Thus, atomic bombs are fair game.

A neutron reactor (Institut Laue-Langevin). The mix between 80's concrete bunker like structure or yellow steel bars and uber high tech mirrors that reflect neutrons is amazing, as is the crudeness of the experiments that achieve the best matter probing on earth. It's straight out of retro-futuristic sci-fi, and at the same time higher tech than many modern sci-fi will imagine in some technical areas.

They are completely lying about the situation in France. They are talking about the propaganda of the previous government (Attal, under directions of Macron), but it's all lies debunked by the president of the institue in charge of controlling and evaluating pensions budgets.

[–] bouh@lemmy.world 7 points 5 days ago

These are lies. It's literally disinformation. The president of the organisation whose job is litteraly to assess how sustainable retirement funding is explained that the government estimates for their reform was the worst possible scenario first, and second it was demonstrated that there are many other solutions to fund retirement plans in France than shitting on the new generations.

One parameter of this disaster in France is that a good part or the missing funding comes from the government refusing to increase public workers salary, or to pay them with primes that are not taxed, and thus don't fund retirement, or to decrease the number of public agents.

Another parameter is that the system is not under any risk on the long term. Only the next 10 to 15 years are planned to be difficult.

I can understand that liberal assholes want to enslave workers as long as they can possibly get away with, but spreading lies when the truth is that the government is litteraly sabotaging the system for it to happen is akin to what dictatorships do.

Indeed. I'd add that you need the application open source and respectful of people's data and privacy.

Then there is another problem : you need people to adopt your application and use it. Because regardless of the qualities, the most important thing is the number of people using the service. That's why Facebook is still not dead for example.

The problem is not the how. The problem is that your agency is a company driven by profit. How do you make an agency that's not driven by profit in a capitalist and consumerist society?

Summer patch huge changes! (forum.paradoxplaza.com)

Open beta for the summer patch has opened. There is a huge patch note ; still work in progress, so things can change, like the casting point limit is being changed already.

The big features are research rework, underground rework, magic victory rework, summon and spellcasting changes, and loads of balance changes (especially archers nerf).

What do you think about it?
