My buddy wants to play Baldur's Gate 3 but I don't feel like paying for it.

I created this community because I wanted to see some Taylor Swift memes on Lemmy, but I don't know much about moderating or using code to create "style" on Lemmy, so I'm looking for some help.

If you want to help me mod this community, comment here and then PM me with the answers to these questions:

  • Why do you want to mod this community?

  • Have you ever moderated anything (i.e. another community, a subreddit, a discord, etc.) before? For how long?

  • Do you have any experience with coding and making a community or a sub look pretty?

  • What ideas do you have for the sub?

  • What is the most important part about being a mod?

And, most importantly:

  • What is your favorite Taylor Swift song? What is your favorite album?

It is extremely important you comment on this thread before PMing me. Lemmy currently does not have a way to appoint someone to mod if they have never interacted with a community before, so if you PM me the answers to the questions but don't have anywhere on the community that I can click on your username, I won't be able to appoint you as mod.

For example, if a lyric contains "that you", it ends up like "thatchoo". One example of this I can think of is in Karma by Taylor Swift (I know, I know, but it's one of the most popular songs I listen to). The line where she sings "Karma's a relaxing thought/Aren't you envious that for you it's not?" sounds like "arentchoo". It doesn't happen every time but it seems to happen unless you're consciously making an effort to not make that sound. An example of this is in Love Story where she sings "That you were Romeo/You were throwing pebbles", and it sounds like if you were just talking to someone and said "that" and "you" separately.

I'm just wondering if this happens in other languages with different combinations of sounds? It probably happens with other sound combinations in English too, but this is the easiest example to think of.

I have an idea for a tattoo I'd like to get for my cat when she goes to the rainbow bridge but I'm not sure how to best execute it. I have two tattoos but both of them are simple symbols so this is one is going to be more involved. I would just like to have the idea more formulated before finding the right artist.
