"It's human nature" used to describe something horrific like war or rape.

It's not. Human nature is as when we were children, playing with friends and loving each other.

Militaries have to condition humans to do violence to each other and to follow orders from "superiors". Half of school is quashing kids' creativity and making them follow arbitrary rules because "the adults" say so.

Meditation is the practice of training your mind better to pay attention to something specific without wandering. It's what I'm using to try to get my attention back, along with a myriad of other benefits.

That and leaving my phone in another room instead of in my pocket. It's a lot easier to notice the impulse to check your phone when you start walking towards the bedroom to see what's new on distraction box.

I think what they're going to do is to change the price based on how much they think you can afford.

Say "I got a bonus today" while your phone is listening? Guess eggs just went up 20%.

I do most of my dieting at the store, I dislike spending money, so it's really easy to avoid the crap there.

This is propaganda from companies that want you to keep gorging on their slop instead of natural portions of food.

If you would accept a suggestion: Just fast for a few days. Your stomach will shrink and you can go back to eating normal portions after. Plus it's good for the soul, there's a reason so many religions recommend it.

What are you talking about? What's more filling, an apple or one of those "100-calorie-packs" of hyperprocessed sugar?

The apple is less calories too.
