It honestly reads like the author dismisses the potential of foreign influence affecting both domestic actors and politics outright without proof. There's ample evidence that Russian state-affiliated actors have worked with social media influencers to foment outrage, for example. That's not a "new red scare", that's straight up proof of intelligence operations designed to undermine Russia's geopolitical opponents.

"Big surprise" said everyone with half a brain.

Seriously though, this is working exactly as intended by the UCP - they want to have Alberta's faith pinned to the petro dollar to stay in power. Hard times, global downturn? Blame everyone for ruining Alberta's precious oil industry -> vote UCP to stick it to the federal government. Good times, oil boom? The UCP freed us from the green yoke the federal government is trying to force on us -> vote UCP to keep your heard-earned success.

This is a difficult one. Any specific subgenre of metal you can give as a hint without spoiling it?

Don Jr really can't stop saying the dumbest things and making himself or whoever he's talking about look worse in the process. I'd say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but I honestly think he's actually even less aware than his dad.

That's what I was going to point out. Beside that sounding like the most obvious scam domain ever, reading it at face value would indicate that the Republicans think their supporters are a bunch of addicts. Did they fire everyone with any marketing background or are they all so far down the rabbit hole that this sounds perfectly reasonable to them?

Sure, but let's all agree it could be worse.

If it were added to this meme, it'd have a reaction somewhere between the Supra and the Eclipse. Something like "oh, okay".

What do you mean? At least the new WRX is still a sedan, still AWD, still has a boxer, and can still be bought as a manual.

Sure, it's making about the same horsepower as 20 years ago, and it got progressively heavier as Subaru needed to add more safety equipment to remain compliant, but it's nowhere near as bad as Ford and Mitsubishi taking legendary name plates and slapping them on crossover SUVs.

Having lived and worked in several countries, I think the concept of Jantelagen is rooted in the Protestant Reformation more than it being a specifically Nordic thing. Not only does it fit well with the general premise of the Protestant worldview, all countries that were early converts seem to have ingrained that particular perspective (under various names) in their collective cultures.

Jag är rädd att de gör det redan, och det är precis därför att de föreslår den här idén.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Enough to convince me to buy the PC port of the game at least. Can't wait to try it out!

Reading up on some of the more recent posts regarding VR on Linux, I'm wondering if anyone can give a quick rundown of the actual state of VR gaming on Linux for users of WMR headsets like the HP Reverb G2.

Seeing as Microsoft is about to nuke that entire ecosystem later this year, it would be great if there's a way for people that invested in these headsets to continue using them on Linux, instead of turning a whole slew of devices into fresh e-waste.

Thanks!
