Filament storage for the 3D printer is coming along nicely. Aluminum rails are installed. 3D printed corners are here. Now waiting for for the acrylic walls to arrive.
Seems like there is zero difference between the 8840u and the 7840u. At least I can't find one. Why is it 100$ more then?

Das heißt wir reden hier nicht davon das Frauen weniger verdienen als Männer sondern das manche Berufe einen geringeren Stundenlohn haben als andere. Das Geschlecht ist dabei nicht relevant. Captain obvious in action.
Das heißt natürlich nicht das es den gender pay gap nicht gibt. Der ist natürlich real aber eben durch andere Faktoren erklärbar.
Wer hätte es gedacht das ein gewinnorientiertes Unternehmen auf einmal versucht Gewinn aus unseren Daten zu schlagen?! Mir ist es weiterhin ein Rätsel wie es legal sein kann dass sie Schufa überhaupt erst ab meine Daten kommt.

Das "früher war es kacke umgesetzt deshalb wird es auch in Zukunft eine schlechte Idee sein" Argument ist auch ein alter Klassiker.
Ich möchte alle meine Basic needs bitte aus staatlicher sicherer Hand haben und nicht von irgendeinem gewinnorientiertem Arsch abhängig sein der meine Wohnung, mein Trinkwasser oder mein Altenheim bei der nächsten Gelegenheit an sonst wen verschärbelt weil er damit ein paar Euro plus macht.
Dazu zähle ich Wohnung, Infrastruktur für Strom, Heizung, Wasser, Internet Glasfaser Anbindung etc. Gerne mit privaten Providern oben drauf. Gerade bei Strom und Internet geht das sehr gut. Aber die infra muss vom Staat kommen. Ohne Gewinnabsicht!
Du you want a plastic box or a pc with your own os on it (like opnsense or Linux)? It anything in between? I would say the 2 ends are between a fritzbox and an AliExpress router PC.
Btw throw your repeater away in case you use it as a Wi-Fi extender. It cuts your wifi performance to 1/4. It only works if you use it with a cable as a separate access point.
If you also want to improve your wifi setup, I can recommend unifi. Aruba is also good but they went cloud only and who knows how long they will keep there old non cloud firmware updated.

Depends, some of the government apps are actually pretty well done and you don't want to end up with an unofficial ID card app that steals your identity. The German Ausweis App is a good example of a well done gov app.
