Get the apk from apk mirror and then patch it using ReVanced manager

It's not that. There's some really good places if you need solutions. For example, the home networking subreddit is a godsend for home network issues
That one looks fun too, hopefully they can end the monopoly Reddit has
Yeah me too. Honestly I like knowing that I CAN use it if needed, specially if there's an obscure IT question I might need help with. But having it on a whole other phone let's me not want to use it because it would mean having a whole other device to take care of battery and ughh you lost me there , so that's my compromise, I keep it on my desk turned off until needed
I just found out about this too, but on Samsung phones you can install an app on the "secure folder" and that's basically another device ID so even if you install the app there it doesn't ban you.
Recently changed my phone, and while my new phone is completely reddit free, I tried this "secure folder" thing on my old phone(installed the official app via apk but patched to remove ads) that already was banned with a completely new account and so far it's working well, I've left a few comments and such and haven't been shadowbanned.
Now I'll probably won't post or do much on it anyways, I'm committing to use it less and less, but I can't really confidently say that Lemmy fills out all communities as Reddit does
Honestly that's how I got here lol.
Tried it out when the API changes were announced, but let's be real, Lemmy doesn't have as much content or user interaction.
It's allowed me to stop doom scrolling as much, but I do miss some niche communities
Who is this "4chan"?
I agree, people make it out like we're giving human rights to unconscious AI... I'm just saying thanks because I'm polite to anyone and anything easy as that
Lemmy won't take off to that level, let's be honest, the majority of people is turned off when they ask them to "choose an instance" and whatnot, most users just want to sign up and use the service, not learn about instances, which third party app to use and such...
It's literally why this platform is mostly filled with IT people or at least Linux users lol.
I like Lemmy of course, but I'm being realistic, most people don't care about FOSS alternatives, privacy and such
No worries! If you have any questions on the smart pro just let me know, it's the only one of those devices that I have
If you look for stores with good reviews and good sales numbers you're 90% sure you'll get what you paid for. There are some other sellers for these types of devices like LITNXT, and you can even find them on Amazon (usually more expensive).
If you want anything like PS2 or gamecube prepare to pay $150+ for a device, and most likely it will be an android based device like the retroid pocket devices
Most of these ambernic/Miyoo/powkiddy/Trimui Linux devices are aimed to play up to PSP, and some PSP games will run poorly, they're using older cheaper chips, so they're honestly weak devices.
IMO, best case is buying one of these devices for psp and below, and a steam deck or other handheld PC for PSP onwards.. And PC gaming obviously.
I have an ROG Ally, and PS2, gamecube and WiiU runs great, but it feels like overkill for GBA and PS1 for example, so, for older emulation I just use this $60 device
I can go into detail lol DM me if you need help!
