I'm not too surprised. They aren't bringing in many new subscribers, so it's time to increase prices to make it profitable.

I'm surprised they haven't raised the prices. They haven't gone up in a while while the "value" has.

Ya, he should have never sought re-election, but it's past that point.

I guess I usually skipped the race part, because I don't remember that nearly as much as the guy walking up to turn on the lights.

Thanks. I remember seeing that thread on Mastodon, but I hadn't associated it with his actions. I think open logs are good and if someone acts like that as a moderator, it is best if they step down.

Would be nice if they would implement a sponsor block type feature, but I doubt we will ever see that happen.

Can you provide some more information about him abusing his powers here?

Seems to have frame pacing issues in several games. Hopefully they can work out those issues with driver updates.

Or maybe websites can go back to simple ads that just have a picture with a link. Modern advertising is about harvesting your data, which is why I use an ad blocker. They also use a ton of resources that slow down websites.

Go ahead and report it to the Mint team. Even if it is an issue upstream, they will verify the issue and then report it as well. Never hesitate to report a bug you find, especially if it's a security or privacy issue.

Even if the bug is a duplicate, it helps to know other people are having the same issue. At worst they will mark your report as a duplicate, which will let you know they are aware of the issue.

The release date is Aug 27 at midnight GMT globally.

That will rely on businesses moving away from Windows. That is where they make a ton of their money with Enterprise licenses and Office 365 subscriptions.

Might be worth it to get your first bullion from the raid before turning this quest in.

Does anyone here have experience with gaming on immutable distros like Fedora Silverblue, Fedora Kinote, OpenSUSE MicroOS or any other general desktop variants? I know SteamOS 3 and ChimeraOS are both immutable, but they come with all kernel mods and libraries baked in.

Are there any issues with drivers or performance that otherwise do not happen on a more mainline distribution?

Do you have to deal with getting Nvidia drivers installed or is that handled by the system?

I'm asking because I'm considering making the jump to either Silverblue or Kinote, but I am curious to hear your thoughts.
