So you think that no one living in an apartment should own a cat?

I saw Ozzy 3 times in the 90's and a couple more times in the early 2000's. Was an amazing show. The point I was trying to make is as long as people are willing to pay the fees, they will keep charging them. It's really that simple. I'm not saying people shouldn't pay to see their favorite performer, but the issue is companies don't listen to anything but their bottom line. Hopefully the FTC's lawsuit (I think it was the FTC) against Ticketmaster will have some effect on things in the future, but time will tell.

I have, in the last 10-15 years started going to smaller venues where Ticketmaster isn't part of the equation. Saw Gemini Syndrome not long ago in Wisconsin for $45, got to see a public show and then a more intimate acoustic show after for that price. Did something similar with In This Moment earlier this year. Will fully admit it's a different kind of experience then a big arena, but at damn near 50, I kind of prefer the smaller crowd.

Snails for the salt party sounds like it would work out exactly how you'd expect.

People pay the outrageous prices. If people didn't, they wouldn't charge as much. Ticketmaster is a shit show, for sure, but if no one played the game, there wouldn't be a game.

I wouldn't buy a car that could only drive on roads approved by the maker, so same goes for phone.

I don't know about the payment method, but I've had pretty good luck with Hetzner's auction servers. I'm currently running an Intel Core i7-8700, 14TB HDD Space, and 128GB RAM. for about $42 US. I run Swizzin for ruTorrent, JellyFin, and NaviDrive. Even run a game server manager called AMP outside Swizzin to spin up Minecraft, Palworld, or almost any Steam game with a dedicated server. Have the occasional lag issue with the game servers, but works fairly well most of the time.

I use Hetzner as a seedbox and then have PLEX as my media server ran on the same hardware. It's worked perfectly fine for years. But recently PLEX says they will be blocking Hetzner hosting in the next few weeks. I've been considering moving to Jellyfin for a while, but I'm worried they will do the same thing in future.

Does anyone know if that's a real possibility?

Also, if I setup a VPN and just download stuff I torrent from my seedbox to a local PLEX server, would I be in any more risk of legal issues then I am now?

Am I looking at this completely wrong, and I should do something completely different?

To clarify what I am thinking of doing:

Keep my Hetzner as my seedbox and continue to download using my IPTorrents account. Setup a Local Plex or Jellyfin server and download from my seedbox to that local server that will be ran behind a VPN.

UPDATE: So this past weekend I did some testing and JellyFin is now my new Media Streaming software on my server. Going to take some time to learn how it works compared to PLEX, but so far things have been nearly 1 to 1. Thanks everyone for the help, I'm very grateful.
