Well, i am a single guy living paycheck to paycheck, so buying bulk isn't really an option. I have a local farmers market that i walk to regularly in the summer, but even that is only a marginal saving compared to the local grocery stores.
Even stir fry. A bag of frozen stir fry mix at Kroger costs $1.79 here. Just a single bell bepper costs 79¢.
They went straight into the trash. I choose to trust that people wont give out floor cookies
It definitely has an 80's vibe to it, which I think is part of what Tarantino was going for. His movies are usually a satire/parody of certain genres, and Pulp Fiction is definitely an homage to the crime/mobster movies of the 80's.
American salaries are also always presented as gross income before taxes instead if net income after taxes like in Europe.
Lived out there for a few years and i can tell you no one is communicating through the lights on their cars.
From the grocery store's perspective, at least in the US, it keeps the checkout lines moving way faster when some kid who is trained to bag groceries does it, rather than waiting for the customer to figure out how to pack it.
