Walz did a great job, I am super happy.

I like how Walz chose not to dig into Vance too much, but instead he focused on a return to some sort of a normal functioning government.

Even some republicans are tired of the war between the left and right, and some of those who publicly identify as trump supporters may secretly vote for Harris simply because they do not want to continue to be at odds with their left wing family members.

Some republicans might recall a time when they were the patriotic ones, loving their football, their police, and their country. Now the party of trump is being told that football is woke, that the police are weak, and that the country is a shithole.

I think some of them miss what the Republican party used to be.

Even if it is just 5 percent of trump voters, Walz did a great job sending the message that it’s time we come together as a country and start making progress where it can be made, rather than feeding into the identity politics game of mud slinging.

Vance and his ilk wear their atrocious views on their sleeves, we don’t need to waste any time pointing out how terrible they are, we need to instead focus entirely on what we can accomplish together.

Everyone who is eligible needs to vote this time around, let’s all do our part to make it a landslide.

Outside of biological evolution it is still somewhat of a misnomer to say that something is more or less evolved than something else. Again - I get what she is saying and I agree, but when I hear someone say ‘less evolved’ it comes across as a sort of sloppy way of describing something.

I agree with the sentiment but I have a small metaphorical bone to pick which is that nothing is any more or less evolved than anything else. This phrasing helps perpetuate a misunderstanding of evolution, which is surprising because NP is quite well educated.

He might as well be walking around with a Hitler mustache claiming ignorance. I could totally see him doing that.

They collected everyone’s medication???!!! Wtf? What could possibly be the reason for that? Also collecting a change of underwear for 2000 people is just ridiculous.

Not having any system in place to keep track of what underwear belongs to any of the participants is just icing on the cake.

Why are you taking people’s medication and underwear and then mixing it altogether? Just to create chaos?

I am so confused by all of this.

The (Seven Mountain Mandate) movement was generally supportive of the presidency of Donald Trump, with member Paula White becoming Trump's spiritual advisor. White claimed that Trump "will play a critical role in Armageddon as the United States stands alongside Israel in the battle against Islam."

Fucking crazy shit, these people are insane and are actively trying to destroy the planet.

It’s the Christian zionists here in the US that support this genocide because they think it will help expedite the end of the world

Turns out that some random Lemmy poster actually has better answers than both of the major political parties.

You have six buckets all lined up in a row.

The first three are filled with rocks and the second three are empty, so the starting pattern is ‘full full full empty empty empty’.

You are only allowed to touch/move one bucket and for the one bucket you touch, you are only allowed to touch it one time.

How do you make it so that the order of the buckets becomes ‘full empty full empty full empty’?

The year is 1985. You are on the ground floor of a four-story building. On the top floor there is a lightbulb. On the ground floor with you there are three light switches. All three switches are connected to electricity but only one of the switches controls the lightbulb on the top floor - the other two switches are not connected to anything.

You cannot go outside, there is no one helping you, and most importantly, you can only go up to the top floor one time to check.

How do you determine with absolute certainty which of the three switches controls the lightbulb?

If this post gets any traction I’ll post the answer.

The answer involves no wordplay, is not cheesy or impossible to figure out… just use logic and you should be able to come up with the correct answer.
