Yeah I read some studies about that recently and many of those studies were done in the 1980s and 1990s which I feel was a more biased environment for these particular types of studies. Do you have any links to studies done in the last 15 years?

I feel confident that more straight dudes are pedophiles than gay dudes.

I beat the freeware version 20+ years ago. I know the developer made Overgrowth which was a spiritual sequel but I've never played it.

What a deep cut

I don't think it's impossible to make the situation better. I think he's dismantling the rule of law. For the entirety of the post industrial revolution era, we've been governed by words written down, but that was not the case of most of history. Before that, might governed. If you could do something and nobody could physically stop you, then you got your was. Trump is trying to take us back to that.

I do think anyone on Lemmy is probably smarter than anyone on Reddit. I was browsing a conservative sub today and while they were very few comments, most of them disagreed with the general direction of the Trump administration.

It's kinda the same way that the Trump administration is handling it's business. If you ignore the law and you have enough firepower to enforce your viewpoint, then the laws are up to negotiation. If thousands of people go on rent strike, they can't evict all those people. There aren't enough cops to throw all these people out in the street.

I think it's naive to think that "writing different words" would have any impact.

A million dollars is all it takes to buy whatever laws you want? That's a really good deal for Intuit.

If enough people stop paying rent, then they have to negotiate with them as a group. They can't evict everyone.

Snitches get stitches. Unless someone is hurting people, I ain't seen nothing.

This attitude is all that's left when you spend almost a century creating a culture that tells people to stop valuing their neighbors.
