It was definitely not sourced so I'm doubtful too. But who would lie on the Internet ? ^/s

I assume it has a lot more players because it heavily invests in marketing and has broader appeal (not everyone wants to spend hours reading a plane's manual and watching tutorials just to be able to get through the pre flight checklist). So more chances of a random player having access to (low level) classified docs, and then uploading them.

Walking sims/narrative games. I'm a sucker for gameplay, so games with non-complex gameplay bore the hell out of me

This hurt me on a spiritual level

So that's the real lyrics. Never looked them up but it definitely sounded like "let's get fucked" to me too

The RATM remix still slaps too

Yeah, the carefree mood of preproduction is definitely the best part

A pretty stupid and/or egotistical person, which is not illegal. I have literally met people who think like that. Also that's arguably the most dangerous part of drunk driving: impaired judgement makes you think you've got everything under control, and you're not that drunk anyway, and you're a good driver... Combine that with someone whose brain isn't exactly firing up on all cylinders when they're sober and you've got a deadly cocktail, and also probably someone who is more likely to get too drunk to legally drive (and not give up on driving home after that line is crossed)

Also it really fucks with some peripherals. I even had a motherboard with RGB lights (don't judge me, it was actually cheaper than the "normie" version I originally wanted) that didn't turn off the lights and the fans because of this shitty feature. I never got around to investigating who was doing things wrong between Microsoft and the manufacturer in this case though, I just got into the habit of holding shift while clicking the shutdown button.

I have never volunteered to count or observe elections. However I am a professional programmer, and I absolutely agree, electronic voting opens up tons of new attacks, whereas paper voting "security" is basically a solved problem at this point

Nothing about game development is "easy"

Hi, I recently installed pop!_os on my shiny new gaming desktop and I'm loving it so far. But I'm now trying to get some games to work (mostly Helldivers 2 right now, which does work after a fresh install, but then freezes on a blackscreen with all subsequent launches. I'm assuming this is due to that awful kernel level anti cheat somehow)

Long story short, according to the fine folks over at protonDB, gamescope can help. But I can't find it on the pop shop or with apt-get. If anyone can point me to some trusted PPA I can use, or the dependencies I need to build it from source, that would be very appreciated (or even, just how to find out what dependencies I am missing. I lost my linux-fu after a long period of using Windows exclusively but I'm not a complete noob)

Additional infos : I used the Nvidia installer, 550 drivers (I have the RTX 3080 Ti), have the Nvidia drm modeset enabled, and I'm using the pop_os Steam package. ~~I also enabled "force full composition pipeline" in Nvidia settings~~ actually I just disabled it because it was causing issues with some other games that were running fine without it
