Before now, these programs didn't get cut because of the checks and balances of our government. They probably think this presidency will be like the 45th. Those protections are gone and a lot of people are going to suffer and die because of it.

I can't wait until computers and compression algorithms advance to the point where YouTube competitors become commercially viable!

Just kidding, YT will probably just blackmail their content creators into only posting on their platform and nowhere else to maintain their monopoly.

Being an ignorant dipshit isn't making a valid point.

That's why companies shutting down online games need to be compelled to open-source or at least provide binaries for their servers.

I understand why most companies wouldn't do that, but they should be forced to open-source online games that get shut down or otherwise made non-functional.

The only issue I have with that last suggestion is that contracts can blur the line between being employed at a company and not. For example, obviously a contract employee should be subject to the same level of minimum wage, but what about if a company hires another company? What stops some big tech company from just getting all of their janitors from a contract with a janitorial company that doesn't have to pay their people nearly as much? I think that windfall taxes on the 0.1% and a big UBI are the way forward.

Even if a universal basic income makes things more expensive, it will make things more expensive by less than the amount that average people will benefit from it. It also reduces economic inequality.

That number specifically indicates that they're probably using a positive integer amount of seconds since the epoch (jan 1st, 1970). Rookie mistake.

This relevant article suggests it'd be up to the party.

I really hope Orange Hitler doesn't have a heart attack and die in the next 4 years because Vance is a competent evil, but OH is only concerned with his own enrichment and will hopefully only do the bare minimum to keep his party happy while spending all day golfing like he did last time.
