But bro how am I supposed to virtue signal to my fellow misogynists if I have to take things like context into consideration?
How is recommending someone to not interact with a post they don't like because you don't like a different opinion anything but being a sensitive Susan yourself?
They try in the movie and it causes them both to be in the freezing water. It wasn't about him being able to float, it was about them both not freezing to death.
She was involved in a major historical event where the person she thought she'd be with forever died right in front of her.
Also she's telling the story of the Titanic to people who asked her to tell the story about her time on the Titanic. Why would her kids or family be relevant? This is just rage bait.
I think we're thinking about it wrong. These aren't open source people looking to contribute to projects. These are product creators looking to reach the open source community. It's not the same mindset.
I do the same but on my bike. It's so peaceful. It feels like the whole world is asleep for a moment.
I haven't seen a single call to action to donate to Lemmy other than the static sidebar on desktop. Something like that would be far more helpful than complaining about previous Sync users continuing to donate to Sync. Nothing is being taken from Lemmy, Sync already had a big user base and is bringing many of them over here thanks to the app. Let's call to action to them to donate to instances instead of complaining.
I'm all for people's religious freedoms but this kind of BS is a huge problem. They act like we are requiring the LGBTQ flag in every classroom and respond by doing the exact thing they accuse others of doing.
I was with you until GIMP. If one more person lists it as an alternative to Photoshop I'm gonna lose it. It's UI is terrible, you have to watch a guide just to get started. Can't read PSDs in any viable way. I'm sure people use it just fine but to call it an alternative to Photoshop is just plain lying.
Edit: the other thing I dislike about it being suggested as a replacement is that it assumes you work alone. Anyone on a team with people in PS will not be able to even attempt to use GIMP to get work done.
Yeah as a boy I didn't like these either. They were sexy but made me feel a little weird. I was young enough not to realize it was targeting only boys, but now that I'm older I think that's why I didn't like them. I wasn't in to sex at the time.
