It depends. You have clubs that give consecences for this kind of behaviour and clubs that downplay and ignore it. You have fan scences where these people are a small minority and you have scences where they dominate.

It is never black or white, but a spectrum. In the case of Maccabi fans it is a very dark shade from what i have read now. Especially as they have many ties with the IDF and are openly celebrating the crimes if not partaking in them personally

Is the US power projection at the long term benefit of the EU though? The consistent destabilization of the Middle East for instance brought more tension to Europe as people had to flee from the region. EU member states getting dragged into US wars didn't help our image in the world either.

When it comes to defense, UK and France have enough nukes for effective deterrent. The EU is also large enough to thwart aggression at its borders and buffer zones like countering the Russian invasion of Ukraine, if the EU chooses to develop and maintain a joint defense infrastructure. Unfortunately that was postponed instead of forwarded after Biden won in 2020 and EU politicians went back to the status quo.

Not accepting hate speech, in particularly inciting violence is not contradictory to free speech in my opinion.

We should not follow the US idea, that speech is only free, if any vile poison can be spread. In the context of Musk that is also ironic, as he is using his powers to censor people.

Yeah, the disconnect you also felt here when you said that Biden is clearly suffering dementia was crazy. People just deluded themselves and gaslit like crazy instead of acknowledging that Bidens mental health was not up for another 4 years of presidency. And this topic alone dragged on for months, until Biden failed the candidate debate so badly, even the billionaire donors got cold feet. But again it was the billionaire donors who pushed for Biden to drop out, not the concerns of the normal people. The DNC has effectively immunized against the voices of the people. And with all the talk about Trump bringing the end to Democracy, the Reps held proper primaries every cycle.

The "vibes" campaign by the Dems just failed hard.

And why is it that only the right should get to move "vibes" by sticking with extreme positions? Especially as things like universal health care, public housing, strong unions or debt free education are just normal in other western countries.

Yeah, how can people not see this? The "American Dream" and times of middle class prosperity were very obviously before China opened its economy and became the new industrial hub of the world. And when off-shoring started, so did real wage stagnation/decline.

Selling the declining American middle class plastic toys did not "make" that class. What made it were stable well paying manufacturing jobs. Trump won't bring those back with a trade war with China, but the claim that Chinese labor "made" the American middle class is just delusional.

It is not the only reason. In swing states like Michigan it seems to have been the deciding factor.

However i doubt that even with a decent campaign of addressing the economic concerns of normal people the Democrats could have hacked it. With the steadfast support for Israel they have shown everyone whose ancestry is somewhere south of the European alps, that they are second grade people, easily dispensable if necessary.

Israel claims to be the state representing Judaism as a religion and Jews as an ethnicity. Israel heavily lobbied for things like the application of the IHRA definition of antisemitism by allied countries. That definition is conflating anti-zionism with antisemitism, which means conflating all of Judaism with Israel.

So Israel is responsible for some antisemitism as its actions cause hate against Israel and Israel works to make this hate go towards all Jews instead. This serves to purposes. The first is to always claim antisemitism, when Israel is rightfully criticized. The second is to hold all Jews outside Israel hostage to support Israel and to make them less safe, so they feel like they need to support Israel as a "safe haven".

Israel profits from antisemitism and antisemitism profits from Israel, which is why some of the greatest supporters of Zionism have been staunch antisemites. Finally when it comes to people being attacked as "antisemites" for criticizing Israel, these are disproportionately Jews. Jews that are against Zionism are a great danger for the narrative of Israel, so they take special care to attack them.
