Agreed. It’s mostly an ad delivery platform these days. Can be somewhat OK if you have a DNS based blocker but hard to block built in spyware.

Microsoft showed their hand and for some it was the last straw. It might not come to non-copilot pcs (for now) but they showed users they are OK with turning the OS into spyware.

100% switched because of Recall. Been a Linux user on and off for 20 years, windows was my daily driver for the past 5 or so (windows 10 was OK in my mind). Once Recall was announced, I bounced back to Linux. Having Steam popularize gaming on Linux has helped a ton

Been a Linux user for 20+ years but windows WAS my daily driver the last 5 of them… got fed up with all the ads and plans for the screen recording and pulled the plug. Linux 100% for me again!

Thanks for sharing, this is pretty awesome!

I am seriously considering picking the game up on steam sale to play on my deck. I haven’t played a “modern” game in a great many years, but love the look of this one.

From everything I see, it looks like it plays a lot like Grand Theft Auto, which is fine in my mind. I’ve spent many a good play through on GTA in the past just messing around.

Hey all,

Old time gamer here, haven’t played anything recent in years. Picked up a deck with the sale and looking to pick up a “premium” game. So far I am going back and forth between

  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • FFVII Remake
  • No Man’s Sky

I am not a huge fan of shooters and I know these three have more of an action gameplay style. I have Skyrim which I have played a tad on PC and could see myself playing that on the deck.

What I’d like is something I can pick up and play for an hour or less and put back down for a few days.

Things I’d love in a game

  • some level of replayability / open world content to mess around with
  • good story
  • good ambience / music

And obviously something that plays decent on the deck.

I am leaning on Cyberpunk even with reading and watching mixed-to-negative reviews.
