Uhhhhh honey what you're describing is called "theft". Also known as "fraud" if you want a different name.

But to answer your question, I usually shit during working hours, so I get paid to shit. It's a great feeling.

If it's a work laptop, treat it like it has tracking software on it. Don't use your work computer for personal stuff that you don't want your employer to see. Period.

All of your mobile traffic goes through your carrier. Assume that none of it is private, unless you're taking privacy measures like a trusted VPN.

I don't see how an eSIM is any worse than a SIM.

It should be noted that this is advice specific to white men in Western countries 😆 but yes, it's true.

Hmmm it's using a spoiler tag to hide the summary until you click. Spoiler tags work for me on desktop, but they don't seem to work in Lemmy apps like Connect or Liftoff. It does work in Jerboa, however.

Yes! I love that it hides the summary now until you click to expand. That way it doesn't needlessly take up space unless you want it to.

Your drive speed might be the limiting factor here, not your processor.

Ah, got it. Very unclear from your comment.

~~What the hell are you talking about? Consider reading the actual article before commenting something snarky. WD owns SanDisk, and this article is shitting all over them.~~

~~Here's a short version if you can't be bothered: It's a follow-up to this article from May where they reported on a bug in SanDisk firmware that erased your data. WD claims to have fixed it with an update, but that appears to be false. The fact that these drives with a high failure rate are also being sold with a deep discount makes it seem like WD/SanDisk is just trying to get rid of defective hardware as quickly as possible while minimizing dollars lost, at the expense of your data.~~

Just go to the desktop site, you don't have to log in. Things are going well, in case you're curious 😆:

lots of FUCKSPEZ already

EDIT: apparently "Hurensohn" is German for "son of a bitch"

This right here. We are undoubtedly the plastic generation. And it's not letting up any time soon; our kids will be included in this cohort as well. Banning plastic bags in cities is next to useless when everything we eat, everything we drink, and everything we buy is wrapped in plastic.
