Update 8-24-23: We are just about up to date with postings! Tomorrow we'll have 10 more and be all caught up. After that it will be a single post with that days comic strip.

Original Post: There is a method to the madness, please bear with me.

The point of this Garfield community is to post the comics as they were released. For example, the comic originally released on October 8, 1978 will be posted on October 8, 2023. I'll post a few a day until we are caught up and then will post one a day to match the original release date.

Hi everyone :) First of all thanks for being part of the C&H community here on Lemmy!

As you may have noticed, I've been posting a few strips a day and I've gotten comments to slow it down. I hear you and do not worry, there is a method to the madness.

Ideally I would have started this community and postings to match the release date of the comic. For example, the first strip was released on 18 Nov 1985 and ideally I would have posted that one on 18 Nov 2022. Unfortunately that didn't happen, so I'm playing catch up right now.

Please bear with me, it will be well worth it and a much better experience in the long run.

Ps. When are we going to see everyone's C&H tattoos???

I don’t remember that one off hand. Probably recognize it once I see it though. I’m posting a few a day in chronological order so hopefully it comes up for you soon.

If by some miracle someone remembers the (approximate) date it came out I can find it.
