Same with me and Black & White 1. I loved the hell out of that game and didn't know about his reputation. There's still a massive shortage of god games out there over 20 years later.

I wonder if HS2 will cut these ones down too like they did with the world's oldest pear tree that won the other year

You're right that the idea has come from the mind boggling number of options in vehicles these days. The company I worked for recently had over a million different combinations, and making more physical parts standard fit saves them money.

However that saving is not passed on to the customer. The company pockets it all, and makes more money on top with the subscriptions.

The rule of thumb is usually: Mushroom on soil = OK. Mushroom on plant= Bad

I only played the two "new" ones. They were both good, fairly interesting, but not amazing. It's hard to say, but it just felt like something was missing from them. Maybe it was a lack of things to do between missions beyond finding my way into a few random apartments for no real reason?

It's worth noting that I'm generally not into stealth games, I get impatient and just want blood, or think I can sprint past a few guards without being seen. (I think I fucked up in the police station in HR, and the entire interior of the building was just corpses)

Out of the two human revolution was a bit better but there wasn't much between them.

I did like the aesthetics and general mood of the games though, and cyberware will always be cool.

I still would have played the next one if it hadn't been cancelled sadly.

And they're still selling it on Steam. A game that they have no intention of finishing.

They're boring and lame, and they have a cultish following of people who defend them not because they are actually good, but because the artist receives abuse.

This comic is a prime example of it. Completely unfunny, unoriginal, strawman argument that achieves nothing more than making people argue with each other.

To summarise the discourse:

  • The artist makes boring unfunny comics and posts them to Reddit.

  • The comics always seem to have tons of upvotes, every time.

  • People question why they are allegedly so popular when they are boring and accuse her of buying upvotes.

  • Artist then responds with misandrist drama comics about how all these evil men are out to get her.

  • Everything becomes toxic as incels come out of the woodwork to attack her and feminists defend her comics in response.

  • Everyone is too busy with their upvote/downvote wars to remember that the comics are actually garbage.

The reputation comes from the US military being stationed in the UK during the height of WW2 rationing when there was an extremely limited list of ingredients to cook with. They were unable to associate a country under an attempted siege from U-boats with a reduced supply of food.

We do have a love of beige food at times, but it's essentially our version of chicken tendies.
