I mean basically anything can, there was a time in the early 2010s where the word "Atze" came up as a way to say homie, which was attributed to some rappers using it. Funnily enough the term came from the 1700s iirc.

Would I be right in thinking people would find it weird in maybe the same way that people find it weird when you say "lol" irl?

Yes, similar, maybe 'zuhausys' would be even more obscure.

I'm assuming 'Zuhausys' is a German equivalent of 'the homies' considering it contains the word "Haus".

Correct, it is derived from the English homie and mainly found in Internet communities that use a lot of "Zangendeutsch". Irl people would look at you funny if you used it.

In spoken slang people often use "Kollegen" (colleagues) or "Kumpels" (buddies) to describe a group of friends.

Best explanation!

Orbital mechanics can be a bit counter intuitive.

To raise an orbit you need to speed up, but your overall orbital speed will decrease, since the distance grows the higher the orbit gets. So you'll need to speed up to reach escape velocity to escape Earth's gravitational pull, once you managed that, you enter the orbit around the sun. To lower an orbit you'll need to lower your speed, while your orbital velocity will increase, since the orbit gets smaller.

The "fuel" of a space craft is measured in Delta v, which describes the ability to change the velocity of the vehicle, the unit is m/s or km/s To reach a low earth orbit you need around 10.000 m/s Delta v, if I'm not mistaking another 9.000 m/s to escape velocity, then you're in a sun orbit, I don't know how much you need from there, but id say at least another 15-20km/s

You can look up escape velocity which is the velocity required to exit a gravitational body completely.

That's also what makes getting to the sun so difficult. At first you got to speed up to escape velocity to escape the Earth's gravitational pull, then you enter an orbit AROUND the sun, where you will have to slow down by a lot to lower your orbit enough to get into the sun. Miscalculate and you'll fling yourself out of the solar system.

I also recommended 'Dave the diver', had a jolly good time with it.

Anyone that says it wasn't a Nazi salute is almost certainly a Nazi.

And it doesn't even matter if it really was or wasn't. If you make that gesture for whatever reason and you don't bend over backwards to make clear it was a mistake or a bad joke or whatever and you don't position yourself clearly against it, it doesn't matter if it was or wasn't a Nazi salute. Because the right (wrong) people heard you.

Oh yeah, the numbers in the OP are probably off, I meant the story about anarchists using the method to disrupt construction of prisons is in the realm of possibilities.

In other words, this post is bollocks.

I don't know, after reading through that AI slob of an article it says a good amount to add while still retaining sufficient strength after curing is between 0,1 to 0,5% sugar.

So let's assume that more than 1% gets you into trouble, that's still a lot, but sticking to your 18 tons concrete truck example - 180kg of sugar will ruin a whole truckload of concrete.

I think I could smuggle 180kg of sugar into a concrete truck without anyone noticing until it's too late.

I'd say with enough people and dedication the story in the post could be true, not super likely but also not impossible.
