ARRI Alexa35, with a set of Atlas Orion anamorphics. Amazing image, great weight, strong as a rock. Flies like butter. This Red camera is too light for me. I want the weight for extra inertia and balance. Second choice would be Sony Venice2 with some Cooke series.

Why do fdroid main repo keep apps that has not been updated in 12 years ? Isn't it more logical to move apps that has not been updated in more than three years to the archive ? in c/opensource@lemmy.ml

The big difference is that old games run on the same hardware with no OS or no new updates to the OS. Droid is supposed to work with new phones on constantly updated OS. It’s just like it’s OK for a CNC machine to work with floppy disks since it’s not a connected device that needs to work with new hardware/software to function.

What is the cheapest woocommerce hosting? (lemmy.world)
 

I want to make an online store but don’t want to pay $$$$ for Shopify. I looked into woocommerce and it looks exactly like what I want but hosting companies seem to charge extra for woocommerce options. I have deployed my own Wordpress in the past and know enough about front and back end to work things out on my own. Can I just get one of the standard Wordpress option and install woocommerce on it or does it need something extra in the backend that justifies the extra cost?

Also who do you recommend that is cheap and still fairly reliable. It’s a small shop for handmade customized items.

I have this pen which is $60 on Amazon. I really like it. Used it with PLA PETG and ABS with no issues. It doesn’t need as high temperatures as 3D printer as the filament comes out much slower.

Tapping on message in mailbox doesn’t take you to that message (lemmy.world)
 

When you tap a message in your mailbox, it doesn’t take you to the message in the context of the post. The issue is that it seems to try to find the message, but then loads more comments which pushes it out of the screen and I have to scroll up or down to fin it again. It should first load all comments then scroll automatically to the desired one.

I took a WaveShare RP2040-Touch-LCD-1.28and made a program to use it as a touchscreen. This is still very much in the beta phase but the proof of concept works. Here’s my GitHub repo for it.

I’m planning on integrating it into my next split near the thumb cluster.
