With apps like Mlem on iOS, we are getting very close to an Apollo+Reddit experience. How can Reddit successfully monetize what are basically just forums? What makes it special anymore ? (lemmy.world)

The front page of Lemmy is mostly posts from 2-4 days ago. I can see people getting bored/not bothering to check back if it's always the same posts on the default sort. (lemmy.world)

Anyone else notice how friendly, calm, and civil the posts and discussions have been away from Reddit? This place reminds me a lot of the early days.

Nothing agains this place, but it is VERY cumbersome to get going. Squabbles seems super responsive and intuitive. I’ll be using both!
