Progressive policies are popular. There's a phenomenon where centrists pretend to be progressive in order to be elected and then do a heel turn.

'Et tu Bernie?' References this. And here I am having to explain very recent history to some lib in defense of some leftist/progressive I've never met because libs can't take any fucking criticism during any fucking time. Maybe stop for a moment and engage some critical thinking. We weren't happy to see biden drop out JUST because he's old. Everyone was hoping for policy change, but that dreams gone, and Trump's up in polls as a result...

We called it marijuana before it was legal. Marijuana is a term that's obviously linked to Latin communities. So while it's illegal, we're OK with calling it something that's linked to a community, BUT once it's legal, suddenly we're trying to erase that connection. Like it's too good for that community anymore. It would be less racist to continue calling it marijuana WHILE recognizing the historical racism and celebrating the culture that ensured the plant was still here when it was legalized. Ignoring that contribution is like appropriation. Erasing the Latin influences in marijuana culture once the plant is legal isn't anti racist.

I feel like it's more racist to start calling it cannabis once it's legal.

I made a prediction 2 years ago that elon would be the first billionaire turned homeless person. It was more a dream, but I've never made a prediction I want to happen as much as that one

Oddly enough that secondary exodus is probably why this place is so much more positive

Remember code is minimum. Mold and mildew resistant drywall can go on a bathroom ceiling. It just doesn't very often because code is for the shower wall

I worked as an it business analyst for a larger multinational for a hot minute. Lenovo laptops were beastly and rarely broke. When 10 000 employees are all using t series laptops for years, with few breaking down, it made me appreciate your comment quite a bit.

I'm not trying to plug lenovo. There's very little difference between lenovo and dell at the enterprise level. Those are the ones I have experience with and so I'll comment on those. Just buy actual business laptops. Especially if you're not gaming

If you take a look at their battery industry, you'll see they're taking it very seriously

Or just don't federate with threads. Embrace, extend, extinguish is a thing

So magneto has actually fought for mutant rights from the beginning. And every time he gets ahead the xmen win and mutant rights don't really move forward. The xmen literally fight for the status quo. The status quo is bad for mutants, but they want to keep it for some reason. An analogy I've heard a lot is that professor x is the mlk to Magneto's Malcolm x. The difference is that mlk didn't bank roll a CIA black ops style team to constantly beat up Malcolm x whenever he started getting a leg up.

People are fed up. They're more open to extreme actions. That's why people are more sympathetic to Magneto
