You may have skipped some steps

Original message from the Vanilla OS Discord announcment, from @mirkob1:

For those asking for Vanilla OS 2 Orchid's release date, the simple answer is: soon, very soon.

While the full one is: please let us work with no rush, Orchid has a complex structure, introduces new paradigms and we want to be sure that everything works the best before releasing.

The best solution would be to install Prism Launcher from Flathub. This method is better than relying on downstream projects like PollyMC which may have delayed updates and be abandoned anytime: To avoid having to sign in to Microsoft spyware to play, do the following, credits to this guide:

First, open Prism Launcher, then close it. This is to ensure that the account data has been initialized.

Second, run this command on the terminal:

echo '{"accounts": [{"entitlement": {"canPlayMinecraft": true,"ownsMinecraft": true},"type": "Offline"}],"formatVersion": 3}' > ~/.var/app/org.prismlauncher.PrismLauncher/data/PrismLauncher/accounts.json

Third, open Prism Launcher, press the account button on the top right, create an offline account, and set it as the default account by pressing the Set as Default button on the right side of the list. After this, delete the No Profile account by pressing its entry on the list and selecting Delete on the right side of the list.

Done! You can now play Minecraft without the Microsoft account BS.

~~Note that I do not support piracy, but I cannot tell you to buy Minecraft first before doing this because I don't want to be a hypocrite.~~ lmao i didn't notice what community i'm on lol

I'm not from America so I have no idea how this party system works, but the point here is I love parties 🎊

I did a guide several months ago to make Microsoft Office installation as easy as possible. I have recently modified it to tell people to use the Ohook activation method and also updated the GitHub Gist mirror.

Happy pirating and I hope this guide can help anyone.

Not that it's bad. For me, it's actually very useful, I just find it mildly amusing that an app for managing AppImages is packaged as a Flatpak, despite the two formats being widely known as competitors*.

* Okay, most people (including me) would say that the two formats are for different use cases and aren't directly competitors, but for the eyes of a lot of AppImage purists and Flatpak critics, they are.

IMHO "folder" just sounds a lot more cozier than "directory".

Rufus has workarounds for the mandatory login.

  1. Pre-installed tools such as a translator and tab bar on the left

  2. More pre-installed themes and integration with Mica For Everyone (haven't tested this because I ain't booting to W🤢ndows)

  3. Tighter on privacy than default Firefox

There are some others I may have missed because I got used to them

Or Floorp for an even better experience

I don't know if this is just a placebo effect, but it feels like there's a lot more socialization and faster upvotes in the past hour Sync was released.
