I've never been much of an audiobook person, switching back and forth between physical copies and e-books depending on the situation. However on a recent road trip my wife and I started listening to Mistborn on Audible together.

after a second recounting of Vin's mother killing her sister and piercing Vin's ear, she wondered aloud if that might have something to do with how much more powerful than a normal mistborn Vin seems to be.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with listening to the Audiobooks with someone? The biggest issue we've encountered is finding ways to break up sessions when getting close to the end of the book, even listening on 1.2x speed the Sanderlanche of The Final Empire is still 4-6 hours long.
