Why...? Did you look at a geopolitical map of Europe during that period? If you did you'd act less surprised that the commander of the NATO forces of central Europe happens to often be a high ranking officer from central Europe. Germany specifically, the very country cut in half between west and east alignment and the epicenter of a lot of cold war shit, and not from Italy or Belgium or Denmark which are not located in Central Europe. Give the tankie conspiracies a rest.

It's The Beaverton. It's like The Onion but from Canada. But granted the behaviour displayed by the US leadership since the beginning of this administration is so consistently and increasingly vile, it could absolutely be actual news.

Wearing an oldie watch made in 1988 with a pulsometer on the dial. Love the beaten old thing.

Right. Do you feel like I need to justify myself about my life choices to express criticism and a bad opinion about generative IA?

Generative IA is still a huge increasing drain on environnemental resources no matter how much of a hypocrite I may or may not be. I'm not knowledgeable but I assume that models run locally still have to be trained on huge amounts of data before being deployed.

And this image is still shit: it wasn't produced by a human mind and it is completely tone-deaf. I can't tell if the portrayal of the character tries to go for "heroic" or "ridicule". It could be made by an anti trump viewpoint as well as a pro trump one, it's just that bad.

IA models are still useless as answer boxes as they are unreliable and prone to "hallucinations". Regarding content creation I think I they are an insult to the very concept of creativity, and the people using it for that purpose are polluters of creative spaces. So yeah, I do hate IA, very much and very openly. I just wasn't aware I had to show some sort of credentials before being allowed to say something about it.

Can't believe you felt the need to use an indecent amount of water and electricity to power a request on a chatgpt server somewhere, just so you could make and share this shit. I fucking hate the reality we are all living in.

"If we have to burn a few bridges with Denmark"

First, no motherfucker, you're talking about burning bridges with the entire EU, we are a union for a reason after all even if Hungarian and Slovakian leadership thinks otherwise. And whatever bridge is left to burn with Canada will be gone, I assume. And second, casually threatening Europe with nuclear fire from a "political entertainer", straight out of Russia playbook. I wonder at what point the seething anger I've felt towards America for months is going to morph into hatred. What a nice relaxing weekend this is. Fucking great.

This is not about about the naturalization process, or about naturalized Estonian citizens, but foreign residents. In the EU, if you're not a national or EU citizen, you are not owed to vote in the local elections because you're a legal resident. Previously Russian and Belarusian resident were graciously allowed to vote, and now this privilege will be rescinded. So I wouldn't say it's nationalist jingoism but common sense, Russia is actively engaged in hybrid warfare with the EU, and countries with a shared border are worried enough about illegal crossing from russian agent, so Estonia doesn't need to grant special privilege to foreign citizens from a hostile country so they can mess with their local elections.

This is fucking abject. Trump's mouthpieces trying real hard to pretend like the war in Ukraine is entirely the fault of the Ukrainian people and treating with contempt, for what ? Getting invaded and bravely resisting the enemy coming to kill them on the frontline and their homes ? Getting betrayed by their strongest military ally ? While Russia, the country sending wave after wave of soldiers, missiles and drones to kill Ukrainians in their own country, by some twist of their mind, bears no responsibility for the continuing of this war. "They got themselves to blame" ? For not wanting to capitulate without conditions after 3 years of war and deadly sacrifices, and giving away their natural resources to the US for nothing in return ? I will never forget how perfidiously the US is currently acting no matter how many years pass, and I think many others in Europe won't either.
